This is my happy place, I like to make stuff and this is where I do it.

I like building things and doing minor repairs

I love to crochet and knit, for my birthday and mother's day everyone bought me yarn.
It's really a gift for both of us, because they'll get new hats and scarfs this fall.

I also like to paint and draw, scrap booking is something I'm new to. I have a shit ton of photos just sitting around, so I want to do something with them.
With all the free time I have right now, it seemed like a good idea. Any tips would be appreciated.

I have so many sketchbooks that are full. I like to look at them and cringe at the poems and artwork I did in high school.

Here's a quick tour of my slice of heaven

Voodoo doll tax

Good night unfinished projects, see you tomorrow.
*most viral edit.
I hope everyone is able to find a happy place during self isolation. Stay safe.
Send scrapbook tips!

It's awesome! Good for you ?

As an owner of multiple cats and ferrets, this place would be heaven for them.

My porch is my happy place. Long and narrow where I got a comfy chair to draw & watch the world go by.

I love your happy place! The sketchbook collection and cringe worthy high school poems resonates with me particularly.

I can totally relate to this. I was in a pretty dark place at that age and angsty wordplay was my vibe.

Your happy place looks a lot like my happy place would if I had one.

Have one just like it! It helped me to have a few work areas to do multiple small projects at once! Work some here an there...

What stitch is the voodoo doll done in? I've never seen a amigurami like that ( I crochet too)

6 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's not crochet, my daughter made it for me from a sweater she bought at the thrift store. He sits on the shelf and keeps me company.

I commend you for having a closet auger. That's some dedication to getting things flowing.

You must wipe your camera lens before photos to get rid of the grease halo

I often think about my den as my happiest place.

Any place that consistantly makes you happy is a happy place.

I'm essential, so no time off, but love how this time is getting used by my friends in the hobby community. So many great builds going on.

Also seeing way more talk about projects and people taking the time to show how to do new things and teach.

I know what you're talking about, I love it. As a crafter I always find others work inspiring and learning new techniques is always welcome.

It's in the basement, just a small cold cellar. It used to be for storage. I moved everyone's stuff to the attic.

6 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I remember trying to craft with toddlers The joy, the horror, the paint on the rug because I left the room for 2 seconds.

he sees a ball of yarn. yells "BALL!" and throws it. also likes to pull needles out. we're working on respecting yarn lol

I would "include " them by letting them have a craft (watercolor paint, or painting rocks for the garden) so I could work in relative peace.

We're not quite there yet. He is beginning to learn to color, so sometimes when I have a Zoom meeting, he'll sit next to me and color

Would you ever consider posting some tutorials or a process post? 155 scrapbook pages is so impressive, I'd love to see! <3
