This is my happy place, I like to make stuff and this is where I do it.
I like building things and doing minor repairs
I love to crochet and knit, for my birthday and mother's day everyone bought me yarn.
It's really a gift for both of us, because they'll get new hats and scarfs this fall.
I also like to paint and draw, scrap booking is something I'm new to. I have a shit ton of photos just sitting around, so I want to do something with them.
With all the free time I have right now, it seemed like a good idea. Any tips would be appreciated.
I have so many sketchbooks that are full. I like to look at them and cringe at the poems and artwork I did in high school.
Here's a quick tour of my slice of heaven

My porch is my happy place. Long and narrow where I got a comfy chair to draw & watch the world go by.

I love your happy place! The sketchbook collection and cringe worthy high school poems resonates with me particularly.
indigogogogo
Sometimes I read the poems, and I'm like jesus kid, lighten up. Lol
CthulhuDeepOne
I can totally relate to this. I was in a pretty dark place at that age and angsty wordplay was my vibe.

Have one just like it! It helped me to have a few work areas to do multiple small projects at once! Work some here an there...

It's not crochet, my daughter made it for me from a sweater she bought at the thrift store. He sits on the shelf and keeps me company.

I'm essential, so no time off, but love how this time is getting used by my friends in the hobby community. So many great builds going on.

Also seeing way more talk about projects and people taking the time to show how to do new things and teach.

I know what you're talking about, I love it. As a crafter I always find others work inspiring and learning new techniques is always welcome.

I would be stoked to have this room. I have a corner.
GeezMomEnlightenUp
I have one side of the dinning room. What a great desk they have!
indigogogogo
It's in the basement, just a small cold cellar. It used to be for storage. I moved everyone's stuff to the attic.
felixff
I just have a box.

half a kitchen table, with a toddler in the house. it's not great. i'm so jealous of OP
indigogogogo
I remember trying to craft with toddlers The joy, the horror, the paint on the rug because I left the room for 2 seconds.

he sees a ball of yarn. yells "BALL!" and throws it. also likes to pull needles out. we're working on respecting yarn lol
indigogogogo
I would "include " them by letting them have a craft (watercolor paint, or painting rocks for the garden) so I could work in relative peace.

We're not quite there yet. He is beginning to learn to color, so sometimes when I have a Zoom meeting, he'll sit next to me and color

I love shelter-at-home. My craft space is where I spend most of my time. 155+scrapbook pages completed since quarantine began. Just start!
igniskonig
Would you ever consider posting some tutorials or a process post? 155 scrapbook pages is so impressive, I'd love to see! <3
ncorrell228
I’d be happy to.

I'm having trouble on how to organize the photos, by year, by genres, do I need a theme? I want the albums to make sense. Lol

If u get caught up in that merry go round you will NEVER start or finish one, my suggestion is take a bunch of pics of your core family ...
trinabeana23
I kept restarting bc I'd think ohhh these were her basketball years wait...so instead I gathered a box of pics that had the criteria of;

My hubby, my 2 sons & my daughter PLUS fur babies that were family, then I tried to kind of do chronologically but if I was off no biggie...
