if i had a nickel for ever imurgian who ive had conversations with that turned out to be a pedo i would have two nickels. witch isnt a lot but its surprising that its happened twice. @iseenipple

3 years ago | Likes 91 Dislikes 0

What happened with that person you tagged?

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

fun little game where you tagged them when you found a nipple in a post. nipple of any kind or species. they kept trying to bait an underage girl into private chatting and the account was deleted. we had @iseenippleswithoutkids for some time after that

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

not full conversations, but still

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

You probably have a lot more nickels that you don't know about yet.

3 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 0

I'd have at least 15 cents, if the times I hit the report button back when I browsed Usersub Newest counted.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

back when imgur forced you to start the website in the usersubs and you would see the most fucked up shit from time to time. deleted my account and quit using the website for like 4 years

This is akin to finding out Jared from Subway is a pedophile. He seemed like a likable guy but boy were we wrong.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

I knew people who worked at Subway the day he was arrested. Apparently they closed shop and removed literally everything with his name or likeness on it. I had been working there just a year and a half earlier, almost makes me wish I was there for that

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

As Fogle gained fame, people who knew him warned Subway of his past with those same problems. But the money from the successful ad campaign was too good to drop him. There was a reason a 400+ man with no job, stuck in an apartment still had money to buy 2 sub meals a day for over a year......

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not seeing the connection. Was subway giving him free subs when he was 400+pounds? Or are you implying he sold child porn?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I swear the more someone is publicly seen as a good person the more likely they are to be a bastard.

3 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

I think the more public a person is, the more scrutinized their actions become. There are a look of good people, but they don't seek fame, so you don't hear about them.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Honestly with the sheer number of rich people and celebrities getting caught for this it just makes me think this is actually far more common then most people ever imagined unfortunately.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Sadly it is, it's not a small number of people. That's the issue, there's thousands of them who have been caught, so logic would suggest there's far more who haven't been and even more who haven't begun yet.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Study i saw from here in the UK put the rate at 1 in 20 children are abused at some point. Even allowing for some abusers abusing multiple children it probably still works out that around 1 in a 100 adults have engaged in it. Throw in people who only look at the results and it could be a few times more than that. For the US it works out at about 3.5 million abusers and several times that as strictly consumers.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Upvote cause fuck this guy. We aren’t cops, we won’t cover up the evil shit that our own do. We expose it and expel them.

3 years ago | Likes 212 Dislikes 14

with ya, and i wont defend the good he has done

3 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 2

I hate that this negates it. It does tho, his intentions were not sincere.

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

Finally some folks talking sense where so many other imgurians across other parts are scrambling to defend him. Let the court decide.

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

This post was necessary. We have standards, we have a code. We cannot call out others who fail to meet that code, and ignore our own who fail the same test.

Idolizing any person is folly.

3 years ago | Likes 63 Dislikes 20

Humans are fallacious things. Full of hope, resistant to learn from history if it goes against their hopes, open to folly. Everyone knows idolizing a person is folly, at least if willing to see flaws as they are and not simply as more ways that person is a winner, anyway, yet people will still do it. They'll let themselves feel good about someone that's seemingly a good person, does good work, helps people, promotes goodness, they'll idolize them then be burnt from the fall again and again.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I don't know what you're being downvoted for, people are fallible, more so when we feed their egos. For some this not an issue, for many others it very much is, as a general rule your approach is much safer.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Down votes, who gives a rats ass...

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

That's what my hero always said. His name? Albert Einstein.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Damn! I spoke to him on Reddit the other week saying how great his work was and to keep it up. I feel a fool

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

1. Nothing wrong with supporting charitable work. 2. No reason why you should feel like a fool, because no one here knew. It wasn't as if you ignored any warning signs. Anyways, don't feel bad about yourself.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Don't feel bad for yourself. You had no way of knowing. None of us did. I thought he was a good guy too. This really sucks.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Charges. Innocent until proven guilty… but fuck, man. This one hurts.

3 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 11

Do you say this on posts regarding priests getting arrested? Or only for people you like

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 10

If I have no strong feelings towards a post I don’t say anything.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 5

Innocent until proven guilty should apply to priests too, wether one likes them or not. Not all priests are pedophiles, same as not all cops are into domestic violence (60% are, or was it 40%, one of the two - I'm not a huge fan of cops to put it mildly)

3 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

40% reported with emphasis on the reported part.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh no. Not a fan of cosplay or anything but seeing this guy all over this site and the good work he’s done for kids - prob to get close to them? Faith in Humanity Meter back to zero..

3 years ago | Likes 381 Dislikes 10

Mine is at -100 now

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Disappointment is a fair reaction. Just remember to be disappointed in him for what he did, not in you for letting yourself believe in someone who ultimately let you down.

3 years ago | Likes 82 Dislikes 0

Yes, I aim my disappointment squarely at Child Porn Skywalker, not myself.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're at zero? My faith meter has been in the negative regarding humanity for a couple decades now. Lol ;-)

3 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 4

Seriously. Zero would be a dramatic improvement

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It erodes trust.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'll prob get downvoted for this, and fuck this guy for being so awful and committing these crimes, but it feels wrong to assume he only engaged in charity to get to the kids. He seems too genuine even with adults or adults with disabilities for me to believe it was a total scapegoat. People, even horrible folks like this, are complex and have their own internal maze of reasoning for what they do. I just, idk, it seems reductive, I guess in a "bad people can do good things and vice versa" way.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

Most pedophiles I know of were GREAT guys, so friendly, so giving to the community, so wonderful with kids! Media portrayal of pedophiles has been completely wrong, look them up. I do wonder if some of them do a lot of charitable activity in order to try and absolve themselves of the guilt from what they've done.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's just the leftoever "wanting to believe the good guy he seemed to be", idk. This shit fucking blows and you might be right. I'm just tired of everything being fucking garbage.

The biggest problem is that they have been so vilified that proper studies have trouble because they are so afraid of coming forward.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Definitely also the case. It's total shit that there's no safe way for those with the issue to seek help without feeling like they're going to be reported to the police. The stigmatization of those that haven't acted on their urges in any way needs to end.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

At this point I'm suspicious of even the nicest of people. Jared Fogle, Jimmy Saville, Bill Cosby, etc. I'd suspect Tom Hanks has Betty White chained to a radiator in his basement or something. It's like we're all secretly demons a scant few millimeters below our skin.

3 years ago | Likes 122 Dislikes 2

Goes to show, you don't know people. You think you do, because they're actors, singers, internet personalities and they let you into their lives a bit so you feel a connection. In reality it's only moments in time. The rest of the day in private, they can be very different.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We are. The society has evolved far faster than the ape that makes it up.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

After Cosby, I realized you just can’t know unless you know them personally. And even then sometimes …

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Exactly because entitled narcissistic styled people can be very charming, and hard to tell from people who are genuinely charming and authentic. They tend to be very careful and selective of who they victimise, so their victims appear unbelievable.

pretty sure betty would be into that.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

I'd try to have an "innocent until proven guilty" mindset here. He was charged, not convicted.

Thus us i.portant. I work in the ourt system and have seen "the defendent had child porn on his phone" turn into "the defendents lawyer would like to show a video of the defendents Ex putting child porn on the defedents phone" that said.... 3 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 3

I asked that very question on another post and I was down voted...sheesh

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 1

Yeah that's him. What a piece of shit he turned out to be.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 4

yes, it's the formerly-one-of-us Fluke Skywalker. Second imgur celebrity to turn out pedo, after ISeeNipple.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I don't like those odds

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Statistically I believe the percentage of pedos in society are about... Four percent? How's many users are on here? What's four percent of that

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

To be fair, it's charges. We should neither assume they aren't true because we liked him, or assume they are true because he's accused. Though it's very sad that it may be true.

3 years ago | Likes 329 Dislikes 24

Its pretty hard to bring a case this far without rampant evidence.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is fair but it's worth noting that there has to be evidence to charge for something like this. It's not like where someone is accused, it's usually cyber units who find a cash of photos

3 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Yeah, it looks bad, but they hold an actual trial for a good reason. I'm not saying I think he's not guilty, I'm saying I don't know.

3 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 3

Sounds like they found images and videos on his phone and have evidence of him trying pass them on, pretty damning in the court of public opinion if not the court of law

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

They found CP on his phone, bro.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

While that’s true, this comment is never present on any of the other posts.

3 years ago | Likes 108 Dislikes 10

Eh I've posted similar things on several of the other posts. Though this guy said it better than I.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

It might be, just in the "bad replies" section because people don't want to hear it and downvote it.

3 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 0

Very true, but I feel it's reasonable to be a little more shocked at a supposed wholesome and charitable cosplayer doing this than say, a cop/priest with strong MAGA ties. Is the bias real? Certainly. Is it strange? Not really. Throw them all to the wolves if convicted, regardless.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Yes! Of course one needs to support the accuser, but also... it's awful to just jump on and ruin people's lives over every accusation. Believe the accuser and treat them accordingly, but remember that the accused is innocent until proven guilty. People can be shitty and there are plenty of reasons, personal/financial/etc., one might accuse an innocent person. ––>

3 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 8

Well, this comment aged poorly.

1 year ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The evidence anounced to the public so far nails his ass to the wall, and we are not a court of law, he's guilty AF.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

––> I remember in junior high school, one girl started a rumour that a teacher was a pedo, and everyone got swept up in it. It wasn't true; just some people didn't like him, and making up gossip was a good way to gain popularity. Hell, if I didn't like my local mayor, I could accuse him of awful things to try to get him out of office, and maybe other people who didn't like him would use that as a jumping point to share their own falsified stories for their political motivations.

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 4

A girl accused a teacher at my school of being a pedo, he was never fired so I assume he was innocent, I also assume he was innocent because she was one of the nastiest people I've ever known and helped frame someone at my workplace for robbery years later (they were not charged with robbery as the cameras proved they didn't do it)

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yeah, but they found 3 vids and 5 images on his cell phone. So......

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Aye, that's pretty solid. Even that is worth looking into other possibilities, though, no matter how small a chance it might be. Did someone else use his phone? Did his phone pick up a virus that deposited it there? ( it happens... https://www.syracuse.com/have-you-heard/2009/11/could_a_computer_virus_frame_y.html ) Does he have an app that automatically downloads pics that others send (like WhatsApp)? Long shots? Maybe. But possible? Yeah. So he's innocent until it's all ruled out.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

Wait, do you mean flukeskywalker on imgur???

3 years ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

Yes it's the same guy by all reports.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Found out it is him. Jfc what the hell. It causes such a tear. On one hand a guy possessing child porn and on the other a guy that was doing good to help those in need. How the hell did that happen.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Holy Fuck, man… I’ve been seeing Fluke Skywalker posts for years and he always seemed such a good guy. Reading this is disappointing beyond words. But if he’s guilty, lock em up. No exceptions.

3 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 1

They always do seem like a "Good Guy" that's how they attract their victiums.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Man I've had conversations with this man.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Well you won't be for a long time cause the case seems lock soild, he's going away for a long time.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah. This one hurts a LOT. I’m still trying to process it. BTW, did the cops shave him? WTF with that booking photo?

3 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 2

I'm guessing the Luke hair was a wig. A pretty damn good one.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Holy shit it wasn't a wig. He shaved the front of his hair??

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Holy shit....

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Right!? I mean he woulda known it was coming, they would have got a warrant for his phone and seized it. Probably had a breakdown knowing he was caught.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Frankly if they get to that point they already have enough evidecen to nab him. Getting the phone is basically just a formality at that point.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You notice how when you're on a left leaning site nobody jumps to defend some random sicko just because he was previously one of our heroes? Yea.

3 years ago | Likes 207 Dislikes 14

We need to keep in mind that it's ok to have degrees of acceptance, and all that comes with that. He's been arrested and charged, not proven guilty. It's uncomfortable to not have solidified an opinion yet, but it's healthier than rushing to judgement.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Republican or Democrat ... straight to prison. I'm just disappointed that he chose this path. I wouldn't defend him.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

Here ya go, in a nutshell:

3 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 4

A ton of people are though - but as a left leaning site we can have a discourse and tell them why they're wrong to and hopefully correct the behavior. That doesn't happen on truth social.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 3

Non religious a-fucking-men

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I noticed that too. Of course I'm mostly just disappointed. But like you said we ain't leaping to defend him.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There’s still a LOT of users here who are stuck at stage 1 of processing this and ignoring the fact they don’t typically arrest you or bring child pornography charges unless they’ve got a pretty solid case.

3 years ago | Likes 70 Dislikes 2

One can HOPE that it's bullshit without expecting anything. I'd like to believe it's not true because he seemed like a cool dude and if it's not true then like, them kids is fine. But yeah, plenty of child abusers get taken to court and still get away with it, so you'd think the case would be pretty solid at this point. I guess we'll see.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Unfortunately, one must agree. There are some cases where heavy charges were bs (I have a famous one in mind here in France: Outreau), but the sad reality is that the actual crimes are SO frequent that this level of investigation is pretty much a condemnation already, at the very least on some level. I used to feel genuine love for the guy and this makes me sick. I would say "such is life", but "life" is only such because of fuckers like that. Disgusting.

3 years ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 1

I knew a guy who was creepy, he liked teens and women with teen-like stature. So he was accused by some girls who were abused, it wasn’t him but someone he worked with. They found some images on his phone but they weren’t admissible, he didn’t actively put them there. Because he was a creepy dude he was an easy target. He wasn’t into kids, but police don’t make that distinction, they just want a win. So that’s how people can be stuck, and think maybe he’s a creep not a pedo.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No, there's just the sudden change of tune to "innocent until proven guilty" and "cops are kinda good, actually" that you wouldn't see on any other post like this, plus a whole lot of denial. Sure, no mental gymnastics to justify the crimes, but there sure as shit are a lot of hypocrites here, too.

3 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 7

I don't know if I would call it hypocrisy. If Jared Kushner was charged with CP today I think we would say "fuck him, he sucked anyway", because we already hated him. Its simply tragic when we see someone that did awesome stuff turns out to have, well, a dark side. Thats not hypocrisy, that's sadness.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Catching one bad guy doesn't make up for all the rights violations, the murders, the abuse of power or thin blue line.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

I do stick to the innocent until proven guilty but that's due to be accused of knocking up my neighbour growing up. It wasn't until the mother also got pregnant that the truth came out that the daughter had a bf that knocked up both her and her mother. But with that said the evidence is pretty damning.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When it first started appearing here there were some who were defending him. Now that it’s become clearer what he’s been accused of, they’ve all gone silent.

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 6

I was around when it first came out, I didn't see anyone defending him. I saw some saying they hope it wasn't true and were going to withhold judgement until everything was in the open, but I didn't see anyone actually going to bat for the guy. I did see some people saying what you said, yet I went through the comment sections and didn't see any defense. I fully admit I may have missed a few, yet I don't feel I have. I wanted to see who would defend this sorta thing on so many charges.

3 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 4

It wasn’t many. There were a few who were saying it was a misunderstanding because of the way Ohio words such crimes. Pandering obscenity was one term, which I agree is an odd term, but it’s still easy to understand.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

That was solely because the first instance of the article was lacking any meaningful details. Then, the news station updated at 11p ET to include the full charges of CP. Pandering obscenity is vague enough that a pro-LGBTQ+ book counts for a Rapeublikkkunt

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

yeah, there's a huge difference between saying "aw shit, not him too!" and "i don't care how many younglings he's ligtsabered, he's MY luke skywalker!".

Without judgement, there are several (5-6) programs of recovery for men and women for love, sex, and porn addictions, even illegal porn addictions, available in the US and around the world. Not every pedophile is an addict, but many are and can be helped before they enter into the legal system. There are also therapists and physicians who specialize in this area. Please get help if you think you need it. This isn’t the first time this has come up on Imgur.

3 years ago | Likes 186 Dislikes 9

nah mate. these sorts of people destroy lives. it’s an active choice. my best friends life was ruined by these people. fuck him. it’s child abuse and it’s cruel. fuck this guy. he deserves the worst punishment.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 8

You're saying a sexuality is wrong. And yes, in this case it is the worst kind of wrong, but they can't help it. Some people are wired differently and we can't simply punish them for existing like what happens to LGBTQ. It's not the same. Pedophiles who try their best need help, not punishment. Eliminating the help proves to them that they have nowhere to go and eventually they WILL act and actually hurt someone. They're not bad people, they're malfunctioning.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

And again, in case anyone has poor reading comprehension, I am stating that LIKE LGBTQ people, pedophilia is something that shouldn't be punished simply for existing at all. But unlike LGBTQ, pedophilia SHOULD be cured or treated via therapy and other help in ALL cases. It's like a curse that can only be mitigated. So, to clarify again again: lgbtq good, pedo bad.

I have a deep respect for your positive take here

3 years ago | Likes 69 Dislikes 1

That's true. Our actions define us, not our impulses. If someone hasn't done anything yet, they should be able to access help without any judgment, stigmatizing seeking help makes people less likely to do it.

3 years ago | Likes 56 Dislikes 0

Even if someone *has* done something, they should be able to seek and find help. Unless you’re of the mind that a person can become irredeemable and incapable of change.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're right, but once someone has done something there also needs to be precautions taken to prevent them from doing it again immediately. Change takes time and kids need to be protected right away.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I have a friend who turned out to be collecting child porn. The court determined he never acted in person on his impulses, just downloaded the material. CP is a horrible crime, but he was sentenced as a sick man who needed help and not as a sexual predator. After time in prison he is in counselling, is not allowed near children, but still has his mechanic job and is trying to build as normal a life as he can. This is so complex and I hope this guy gets help in and after prison, too

3 years ago | Likes 39 Dislikes 2

I really appreciate this. I've tried to raise it in the past and been called a pedo for it. The first hope should always be to be able to help these people to safely be members of society.

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Years ago, I was able to talk very honestly with a man who suffered from some extreme porn addiction. He even admitted to seeking child porn out specifically. He said it never once crossed over into "the real world". Like he never thought of or looked at kids in a lustful or inappropriate way, but that the porn existing meant he wanted to see it. It wasn't "real" and he disconnected it from reality. He was interesting and uncomfortable to talk to. I think he's since found help.

3 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

And if you're not American, there are initiatives all over the world where someone with those kind of thoughts can talk to and get therapy from! Please, don't let your feeling of being isolated, sick and alone get the best of you and allow you to ruin everything and a child's life as well! Talk to your doctor, please! You don't deserve to be living a hellish life! Get help, you deserve it !!!!! We all do !

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I don't think this is true in the US... pretty sure any therapist or psychologist is required to call the police if they even suspect someone might be a pedophile.

3 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 8

I believe it varies by state, because damn near everything does. It definitely is required by some states. On one hand, yeah, if we can prevent a child from being hurt and/or scared for life, we should. On the other hand, if someone can recognize that they pose a risk to others and seek help with not posing a risk, I'd like that better than them hiding it until they embrace it and go hurting people, especially children. If we can prevent child abuse in a variety of ways, that'd be great.

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 2

Only if they believe they have access to children and are a danger. if you're a single person who doesnt have any younger siblings or family close you're less likely to get the cops called on you

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Based on everything I've read it's the opposite... single people without children are most likely to be accused, justifiably or not.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

The requirement is for suspicion of active/ ongoing abuse for a specific child or children. By itself, being sexually attracted to children is not a crime.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

That's only if they suspect a crime, I think. As in, actual possession, abuse, etc. I think the comment above is directed at people suffering from an attraction to minors but who hasn't acted on it?

3 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

Maybe, but who is going to split hairs like that? There are many reasons to report someone and no real incentive not to.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 6

Everyone in law enforcement has to split hairs like that. There's a difference between paedophilia and child molestation.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yes, but at the point where you're already in a jail cell, that isn't much comfort. Sure, you'll most likely be acquitted (although it's not guaranteed - people are wrongfully convicted on a regular basis), but your life is already ruined (even more ruined?).

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're missing the point there--the person commenting is literally saying "if you feel this way, there are resources for help," which there are.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

There may theoretically be resources, but they're unlikely to be utilized in practice.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

Like with a lot of things, if there's someone who recognizes that they have a problem, hasn't acted on it, and wants/needs help to keep from hurting themselves and others, we should support that person. They've already got a shit situation; we don't need to make it worse, and if we can make it better, we should. If you feel otherwise, maybe being part of a community isn't for you.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I'm not saying it *should* be that way (although even if you're attracted to children I don't think it should be that hard to not molest children. I've been single for 30+ years and never raped or assaulted a woman. If anything, I feel like it would be even easier to avoid assaulting a child.) But regardless I don't think there are really any reasonably accessible resources of the sort you're describing for the average person.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

He was one of us. This one hurts and pisses me off the most

3 years ago | Likes 2089 Dislikes 14

He seemed like such a good guy, I always automatically upvoted his posts. This sucks.

3 years ago | Likes 77 Dislikes 2

No community is free of monsters. It's how the community responds to monsters that makes the difference.

3 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 1

Indeed, unlike the GOP who embraces and defends their monsters while claiming that they: 1) didn't do it, 2) it's not so bad because everyone does it; at the same time.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

It really does. I told my kids about what a special thing he was doing. I was proud to support him. I feel let down like I enabled him

3 years ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 0

You didn't. Enabling requires knowledge. You supported an apparently good man and once you found out he wasn't, you stopped supporting him. That's the opposite of enabling.

3 years ago | Likes 38 Dislikes 0

Very true. Thanks for the kind words :-)

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Welcome. It's easy to blame ourselves for not seeing what was hidden. Doesn't mean it's our fault.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Turns out he was never one of us

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

Yea. I'm so deeply disappointed. I thought so well of him. I live nearby and I've promoted his events. I thought he was one of the good guys.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

to be clear, not professionally promoted, I just mean I've raised awareness and sent people to his events

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

As simple as this is, it was hard for me to put into words. Thank you.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

1. This is reality. The monsters look and act just like everyone else. 2. This is why we need to believe victims regardless of preconceived ideas of a person. 3. This is why to women it IS "all men"

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Brush them off like a cockroach crawling on your leg. A pedo is a pedo. Fuckem'

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

unfollowed.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Was Razor1000 a similar situation?

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

He was a user on a website, nothing more

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 15

This pretty much sums it up… he was one of us… this is personal now and it hurts. I’ve been following him for years and love all the work he’s done for the community and now I just feel so betrayed 😞😞😞

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

There's no "us".

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 16

Ya. Imgur is the extent of my social media and I read this with a heavy heart. Actually traded a couple quick comments with him

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Same. Felt like I was talking to a celeb. My family has also had to utilize Ronald McDonald house and we spent months in and out of children's hospitals. So his deeds hit home.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

One of yours. Not us

3 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 198

What do you mean? He was an imgurian... therefore one of us

3 years ago | Likes 75 Dislikes 1

Again, one of you. Your community your people. Well I’d rather not be associated with pedos. It’s all yours friend

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 184

You're an idiot. You're on Imgur. You're commenting. You're an Imgurian. As was he, hence the "us" association. You don't need to protest so much, nobody is accusing you of being a pedo by association.

3 years ago | Likes 122 Dislikes 3

Again, not with me. Nor am I a self proclaimed imgurian. An idiot? Sure thing, an imgurian community member? Naa thanks

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 163

He’s a sovereign citizen maaaan. Maintaining an account on a community website and actively participating in that community doesn’t mean he has to accept the definition of community membership when it’s inconvenient for him maaaaaan.

3 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

I'm starting to have some suspicion....

3 years ago | Likes 35 Dislikes 1

Dude's been charged. That's all we know so far.

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 5

No, we know he had CSA images and videos on his phone. I know you don't like it but keeping your head in the sand isn't honoring or supporting the victims.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

@iseenipple. Not the first time one of ours has gone sour

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We can keep the spirit of the good things alive, but this man is rightfully being condemned by the community.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Agreed... this fucking blows. Fuck him.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

One of you, maybe.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

You either die a hero or live long enough to see yourself become the villain.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 16

That is 100% not what that quote means

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I'm sure most of us, no matter how long we live, aren't going to become a pedophile

3 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

It's iseenipple all over again. :(

3 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 0

Did they do something similar?

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Their actions are the same and the reason @ISeeNippleWithoutLittleKids exists

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

They were hitting on a 13 year old on here a few years back, saw pics of their messages to her, it was fucked up

3 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Yup. This sucks.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Clearly he wasn't one of us. You can be weird and have your kinks but there are things you don't do. The fact that he did, makes him NOT one of us.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 4

This is extremely upsetting. thought he was a good guy

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You know who's really hurt by this? The fucken kids.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He was never one of us. One of us would not do what he's done.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 24

Fuck the enablers downvoting me. Just, fuck you.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 24

If anything, refusing to accept that predators can exist within your group is what enables predators to exist in your group.

3 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 0

This

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Not downvoting, but someone pointed this out on a similar response in this thread, and I just want to share in my own words. You’re allowed to be hurt, but it’s important to accept that someone WAS one of us… but has betrayed that trust. The charities he promoted and the kids that lit up when he walked into a room should not have to suffer for his poor choices.

3 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

No - he was using Imgur as a cover to build an image of him as an okay guy, which you've apparently bought into. And you being an apologist and justifying it enables that sort of behavior. Fucking disgusting.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Always suspect the dogooders, there is always a motive with their ‘helping’. Past or present.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

He has kids of his own...

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Theres posts he did with "his favorite son" going to a The Who concert about a year ago. I'm trying not to look too hard. This shit fucked me up

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He made us believe that he was an exceptionally good person and one of us. You are correct that he never was one of us, but a lot of people believed it because he had a really good mask in place.😡

3 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 6

Do you KNOW that his acts of charity were done with malicious intent? Do you KNOW that he used them to abuse children? He was arrested for 8 counts of possession, not a single count of molestation, abuse, sexual assault or rape. It's entirely possible he was honestly a generous person but still committed the crime of possession. People are not 100% good or 100% bad, they can be both at once.

3 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 25

Did you read any of the source material? He's also being investigated for grooming.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Source?

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I didn't say any of that. I said he put on an act to make us believe he was a good person. That is what is clear with the evidence we have available.

3 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

So all of the charity work he did is instantly invalidated? The people he made smile and helped are now completely irrelevant? People are complicated, resist the urge to divide people into "Good' or "Bad" groups. People do Good and Bad things, it's the actions we should condemn, not the people. FYI: "Good people only do good" is the exact same logic that Evangelicals use to excuse their insane bullshit, so take caution when you think like that.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

You don't deserve the down votes. Life isn't black and white and people can do both good things and bad things and the good things can still be looked on positively despite the bad stuff that person also did.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I appreciate that some people here are willing to address the grey that makes up life. It's still disappointing that somebody who did so much good also wound up doing something so vile.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Possession of child pornography kinda makes somebody 100% bad in my book. Idk what good they've done at that point, they've done one of the worst bads.

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Defending someone because he only possessed child porn is really not the defence you may think it is

3 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 4

I'm not defending his actions, though I know Imgur loves to make things black and white so they don't have to think hard, I'm asking if his crimes invalidate all of the legitimate good he's done. Do we write off all the legitimate help he's given people because of this? Is he now 100% pure evil, should be executed in the town square?

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

Wait, is this legit?
