My mom did the door thing with me but I was convinced that the tooth wasn't ready. She went to close the door and ripped my head and body about a foot forward. There was blood and i was crying alot. The tooth didnt come out it was not ready.
Then you have my aunt... who even though it probably wasnt ready to come out decided to use pliers (not cleaned) with a piece of paper towel over the tooth to remove one.... my parents were out and she was watching me for those wondering why my parents let her do it.
That is an as helpful tradition as feeding ducks with bread. You can get infections or the hole closes faster than the new tooth arrives wich will make it twisted. learn somethings and don't go always with "Let's do it like our ancestors"

I didn't pull mine early. I pulled it when it was just hanging there. My teeth have more roots than normal. It was just more convenient at that point to get it out than try to eat with it hanging there.

I had a dream less than a year ago where an infinite supply of teeth was falling out. I think that was my first "teeth falling out" dream. But I've had multiple dreams of the "being naked in public", "can't walk or run for more than a few seconds", and "having to navigate tighter and tighter spaces" varieties, among others.

I just relived that memory with the power of having one adult tooth that never grew in. Just lost my last baby tooth in my 40s. Luckily the dentist warned me it would last about this long, so I started a Healthcare Savings Account in my late 20s that covers the cost of the implant.
Are you suggesting I must be American because in spite of having for-profit Dental Insurance, that insurance doesn't actually cover dental procedures?... Yes, I am American and my insurance covers 48% of this procedure up to a limit of $3k-ish
