I know a guy who had it done early on and they botched it which caused digestive issues. Pretty much gave him little time to get to the bathroom. Years later had to have corrective surgery to fix it. Was even on a tv show about medical screwups.

I lost 5 kilos recently and was amazed by how much easier it was to walk, especially up hills and stairs, I can't imagine how much of a difference 100 pounds would make to someone.

Yeah people tend to forget that whatever your weight is you're actually lugging that weight around. Like if you weigh 250lbs you're carrying 250lbs everywhere with you.. the best way I've really seen this shown to someone is by having the person carry all their excess weight in a backpack. So at 250 you'd carry about 100lbs in a backpack and realize what you're doing to yourself.
