Even if all the turmoil in the Gulf ended TODAY it would still be months for distribution and years for production to return to pre-war baseline. Us customers will be slightly insulated because of domestic production but a ultimately we're all still bidding against each other on the same global market, so not much.

Thats what gas costs here normally.. deal with it.

You likely make enough per hour to afford it whereas many US citizens are starving and dying from lack of healthcare.

"Lower fuel prices are a leftist myth" "Gas prices have always been this high, you're just misremembering" "We have always been at war with Eastasia"

Fun fact: $ 7.25 per gallon is basically what the price was here in Germany before the war. Converted back it's now more like $ 8.90 per gallon here.

bit of a playbook for this timeline, thanks Orwell /s
actually kind of chilling to see so many similarities

As others have put it (in better wording), the good dystopian authors dont invent a bleak future, they take what they already see happening and move it to the logical conclusion.

When gas was less than $2 a gallon during his first term, he bragged about personally intervening to make it more expensive.

The staggering stupidity Trump displays doesn't surprise me anymore. But the awful, knowing truth I have to live with is that all of his zombie followers have lived, worked, and gone through 70 years of life around me. Like a stranger in a strange world.

Got this text adv: “Lower gas prices start with American Energy Dominance.
Houston Gaines is the America First candidate ready to unleash our resources.
Choose the Trump-endorsed candidate to lead the charge!”

Dude is endorsed by the moron that got us into this mess.

$7.26/gal = 1.64€/litre. I would literally kill for those prices.

Preferable to buying a cybertruck.

I just want to extend my deepest appreciation of that title. While I doubt think it could ever exist in nature my guess is that a H-7 isotope would not last long..

I'm here for you.

In Sicily learning how the Greeks thought all the locals were beneath them when they arrived. It is amazing how much things have not changed in 3000 years isn’t it?

be patient.
the lower gas prices will be here in two weeks
from every "today"

Everything is "rwo weeks" with him, and the gov as a whole. It feels like Iran has been 2 weeks from a nuke since Clinton, his whole Obamacare replacement lies, the Hormuz blockade, so much more.

technically, it's two MORE weeks

That orange stain has never touched a fuel nozzle in his entire life. He doesnt care. Its just political nonsense. He cant even try with the rest of his single brain cell fathom how much people rely on that stupid numbers. For some it means they cant provide for their family anymore or they cant pay rent. Its not an inconvenience for them that makes life a little bit harder. No, its a budget breaking moment. Farms closed already because they couldnt operate anymore.

In case anyone is wondering how that turned out:

This is... high? Is my math wrong because I'd fill a few extra cans at that price. The station closest to me is currently at 18.96 SEK per litre so that's just over 7.7 USD per gallon. That's what your soldiers have been fighting for all these years, I guess.
