I do think we need to recognize there are levels of Okie Dokie. And this particular one is mid-season. If my date looks like their photos, it's definitely an episode 1 Dokie

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I agree, but I could not find an hd template of the first episode okey dokey

Have you tried me? I’m exactly like my photo. And the photo is like paranormal phenomenon.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I feel the 'okey dokey' is a reference/homage to her father's (Kyle MacLachlan) role in Twin Peaks.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Probably a fesr of spoilers. Had it not been such a good show that my wife wanted to binge it, even if it took a week because it was always after work and she'd fall asleep from exhaustion. I'd probably on be like 4 episodes in

2 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 0

Sorry, you don't binge an 8 episode show over the course of a week, you just watch it. For a week long binge it has to be the Simpsons, or Law and Order, at least ER.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

She had to rewatch a few episodes because she fell asleep

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Episode 4 is good. "Fudge? There's no fudge here."

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I was actually trying to watch it slowly, but after a week I was already seeing season finale spoilers so I just said fuck it and binged the rest.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I really wasn't sure she'd like it. She hated when I'd be playing 4 or 76 because she got bored. But she likes watching her shows with me...ok "our" shows. So when she'd be like 'We got anymore Fallout to watch?' and was honestly upset when it ended. You know it was a good series.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

Fear* not fesr

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

This show has no right to be as good as it is, but I'm here for it. The writers absolutely nailed it and the acting was on-point. I'm so hype for season 2.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Why am I not getting more dates? Answers we'll never be able to find🤷

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not many fallout memes, because it is still in the spoiler window. Give busy people time to watch it.

Just use the old pictures. It's still you. Understand and accept that most others do the same.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

never played the games, would I see spoilers if I watch the show first?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

good, thanks guys

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thematic spoilers, perhaps, but not direct spoilers.
There are also a few liberties with names and concepts from the game, which may make it confusing at first.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

No. You will miss a bunch of fun references in the show though. But not references you need to understand the story. (for example, and keeping this as vague as possible to avoid spoilers, in a certain scene there are CEO's of a bunch of companies around a table and if you played the games you recognize the company names on their name tags)

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

My favourite, think it's the first episode where Lucy opens a window and enters a ruined building, she pushes the window and it cuts to her standing inside like a loading transition.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Idk I thought the show was way too violent.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 6

IDK why you're being downvoted. The violence is very (intentionally) over-the-top, and if you went in blind, I could easily see that being distracting. Tonally I thought it was perfect for what Fallout is, but y'know, that doesn't mean anything.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Honestly it was less violent then the games.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Needed more gibs. Still a good amount for people that don't have the perk

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Watching a Fallout show and complaining about violence is like watching a Fast and Furious movie and complaining there's cars.

I hadn't caught that he wasn't reading the tech manuals or how he was choosing to be a bully too. But here? I understood his Int score.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

First time it happened to me I almost had a heart attack, thought I'd broken it completely, didn't know if I should tell my parents or what lmao. We obviously had no sex-ed or anything.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Same

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

If I have to explain the basics of sex to my date, I probably need to tweak the age range of possible matches.

2 years ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 6

No, Gladys, he said sex, not six. Put new batteries in your hearing aid. The dating profile pic they still use:

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

I get your point, but you can watch the comedy "40 Year Old Virgin" to understand that inexperience comes in all age ranges.

I love that scene in the show. Though I figure there must of been an experimental pheromone released in there because the room they’re in was labeled, “Test Subjects”.

2 years ago | Likes 113 Dislikes 3

No hate to you, I’ve seen this sentiment a lot, but I cannot stand Maximus. Every scene he’s in is made worse for me. I was really hoping he’d die heroically or something. I really wish I knew what people see in him but when he’s on screen it’s so cringe I have to fast forward or leave the room.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

I doubt it, Lucy was pretty upfront about how she and her cousin relieved themselves sexually, and prior to this, she had expressed interest in him. I didn't find her forwardness out of character in the slightest.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Considering the reveal of the vault I'd guess that there's no active experiment going on.

2 years ago | Likes 89 Dislikes 0

Fucking lost it when he casually says later "wanna make my cock explode"

2 years ago | Likes 68 Dislikes 0

That too! It’s like he had the idiot savant perk active at that moment.

2 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

You know, that would explain a LOT of his scenes!

2 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 1

This scene is what made me realise Maximus probably had that perk, as opposed to normal action-hero obliviousness.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

this is how mine always arrives on scene

Don't NEED to wear a condom ever. It's a smart choice though.

what show?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Fallout.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It really was. I had very tempered expectations after WoT and Halo, but they did a fantastic job. I can't wait for season 2.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

WoT?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

I'm guessing Wheel of Time.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Or "how to molest the source material so thoroughly that it can't legally abort in the US South."

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

That is a horrifying yet accurate description of the WoT show.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Horribly written and acted with just enough fan service to string me along.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 54

It's an unpopular opinion. But I agree a bit. Many moments I was like "ugh, they're trying too hard" but then I thought to myself, "I muscled through cowboy bebop, I can do this one." In the end, it was better than cowboy bebop, and it's the first season. Actors usually find their groove later on, and it felt kind of like it was happening already in the later episodes. Hopefully in S2 they will be a bit more explorative. Maximus is my favorite character/actor and showed a lot range in his acting

You must hate your life.

2 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 3

People who dislike a certain show hate their life?

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 5

People that jump on a thread of people enjoying something to try and tell them that the thing they enjoy is actually shit and has nothing but bad traits are probably miserable.

2 years ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

Agreed. It would have cost them nothing and instead decided to comment something negative just for the attention

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I challenge you to explore this logic as it makes very little sense. People like different things. Equating not liking something to being miserable is just plain wrong. If you're out eating and your two friends like the food, but you do not, are you a miserable person for saying that you don't like it..?

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My gaming career ended with Duck Hunt and Mario Bros on the NES; is the show still worth a watch despite absolutely zero knowledge of the game?

2 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 1

Yes. The Fallout franchise is really more of a setting than anything, and the show stands on its own as an independent narrative.

2 years ago | Likes 49 Dislikes 0

This is the happy info I needed, thaaaankyew!

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

Every game, and so, also the TV series each tell their independent stories. They share the world it takes place in, and as such there are plenty of references to cater to the gamers. But its absolutely not necessary to know anything prior.

Imo, they absolutely nailed the world building and setting. Brutal and harsh, but does not take itself seriously, so plenty of fun without it getting (too) ridiculous

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Absolutely. They explain and show just enough for you to get it, and get invested.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

My wife hadn't touched a Fallout game ever, and maybe only heard a rambling monologue or two about it from me back when I first started playing 76. She loved the series so much she bought Fallout 4, and has been playing it all week.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It is, you require no knowledge of the games to enjoy the show. Ignore the dumbass noot519308. They couldn't have been more wrong short of voting for nazis.

2 years ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

I never played any of the games and my fallout knowledge was that a nuke dropped and some people lived in a bunker. I really enjoyed the show. Specifically, Walton Goggins.

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

If you ever have an interest in getting back into gaming, send me a message. I've been introducing lots of folks to games over the years.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Definitely not. The scripts are dog shit and the storylines are nauseatingly generic. As a hardcore fan it was only worth watching because of the game lore (which they butchered)

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 49

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh gosh look out guys, it's a "hardcore fan" you know he's gonna hit you with the best take in taste you've ever heard. Those guys are always the coolest, and their expressed opinions definitely never make anyone cringe!

2 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 0

It's got pretty decent ratings, general praise, and very positive feedback, as well as being renewed for a second season. Think you might be in the minority on this one.

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

"As a hardcore fan"

2 years ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

You seem nice.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Everyone can have their opinions ofcourse, its absolutely valid to dislike it. But when you say they butchered the lore, you gotta come up with some examples. Because thats sinply objcetivily not true (would love to be proven wrong tho).

Imo, this is the best game adaption ever, nothing else has hit the mark so perfectly as this series does. Last of us is a close second, but in terms of brining a literal game to tv, Fallout does it best.

So id like to hear whats wrong with it, i cant see it
