I really wish Saudi Arabia and the other Gulf states would step up to accept refugees. They've got the space and the money to provide food and shelter for the Gaza civilians while the IDF and Hamas duke it out. Take away Hamas's human shields and stop this travesty. International community can guarantee Gaza civilians' right of safe return when the war's done with a new peace plan to rebuild and guarantee Israeli security so this never happens again.

Heard a report on npr yesterday. I believe it was a doctor stating that a one year old patient only weighed 6 lbs. All my kids weighed more than that at birth.

I used to believe in a two state solution. I used to think both nations had legitimate claim to the land. I used to sympathize with Israel for being surrounded by hostile countries, particularly since many nations refused to take them post WWII and they were refugees.
Now I just want them to fuck as far off as possible. Cut their funding, weapons, everything. They chose to become the same monster that hurt them.

It can be about literally every starving child on the planet easily enough. We grow more than enough food for everyone on Earth. It’s just not “profitable” to make sure that everyone gets fed.

Except that it's not. This is about how Hamas artificially created hunger conditions in Gaza, used it for photo ops to create a false narrative, and when Israel started bringing aid directly to the Gazans, Hamas started shooting at the Gazans because they do not want the people to be fed.
That being said, I 100% agree with you about how we do indeed grow enough food for everyone. It's not about having enough to go around, it's about GETTING it to the people in need.
