This reminds me of when a friend from Detroit had some friends from home come visit in Oklahoma. I was giving one a ride home, and he asked if we could stop at Sonic. He was excited because they had commercials for it but no sonics. I told him it was great, but I would happily stop for him.
I mean .... the Fire sauce was spicy. The first time i had it. That might be true of any sauce. I'd send him Melinda's Ghost Pepper Truffle sauce if i could . THAT was spicy to me . OOh ! Does he get hot and bothered from just watching a " hot ones " episode ?
The food isn't that spicy, it just comes with little spice packets. Then try mild, then try medium, then try hot, then try fire, except stop when you get to one that's too hot and then go back one.
I utterly despise Taco Bell hard shells. I don't know who could possibly like them. The point of a bready surface surrounding your food is to hold it all together while you take multiple bites and it absolutely fails at that every time. Often it's already broken in half when I first unwrap it. It's literally just a big shitty tasteless chip.
It must be so much cheaper than soft shell that they keep it around at all, and make it the default option with all their meals.
I'm Irish. My city (waterford) hasn't had a Burger King in 6 years. We mourn it on the subreddit daily. Typical that Dublin gets ANOTHER option while the rest of the country suffers in bland McDonalds infamy. :(
Real talk, get one crunchy and one soft and decide for yourself. Soft has the advantage of not getting soggy as quickly if you're getting it to-go or delivered though and is my personal fave. Shits pretty customizable too, so if Chipotle sauce is too spicey, you can just get an avocado sauce or plain sourcream instead. Mild and fire sauce taste the best, hot is medium heat but taste meh, and Diablo taste like ass imho. Also the Cinnabon bites are addicting af. (I eat waaay to much tacobell)
they go out of their way to make most menu items not spicy. thats why i demand a fistful of that fire sauce... when i havent bought it from the grocery store in a bottle that is
Yeah, I don't think I'm some badass spice eater either, but my wife swears I'm immune. I barely spice things ever and a good jalapeno is even a bit much for me. Avg jalapeno is weak, but sometimes you get one that kicks your ass.
The food itself isn't at all spicy that I've ever noticed. They have hot sauces, and diablo, their current hottest, has some reasonable heat. Not wildly hot, but enough to catch your attention.
I'm the type of dude who has a bottle of ground cayenne pepper to just casually put on my food, and I'm not sure I've ever found any of the Taco Bell sauces spicy.
The food itself is not spicy at all. I usually use a mix of their Diablo and Fire sauce (2 or 3 Diablo per 1 Fire) and find it ok. Not enough to make my face sweat, though.
Being down here, I understand why. Taco Bell isn't Mexican food, it's American food, but they've positioned themselves as competing against local Mexican restaurant chains. Which, as I'm sure anyone can guess, are ALL better than Taco Bell.
If they manage to pivot and adapt their offerings to local tastes, it might be good, but it won't be Taco Bell anymore.
No it's definitely A.I. Look at the wonky handles on the machines behind her, the guy's smooshed no-nose face, the abstract pattern on the wall to the right, the indistinct "food" on the menu screens, the poorly placed Taco Bell Logos, the noise pattern throughout. It's A.I.
even as one of the people he doesn't want to hear from because to me nothing is spicy (seriously, straight up capsaicin is legit a flavor to me, barely any pain to it) he's gonna have a baaaaad time
Taco Bell lasted from 2017 to this year in Australia, and we don't have many good Mexican food options. It airways happens, American brand with huge reputation comes here, Australians taste it and remember that American food is fucking trash and your local take away is cheaper and better.
Taco Bell is the shittiest fast food I have ever eaten. I have never understood the hype. Not even different levels of alcohol in my system has made it taste good.
Yeah I doubt they'll last long outside major cities like Dublin. I live in a small town in Ireland and even we have our own Mexican fast food place, it's independently owned and freaking amazing. Super healthy and affordable as well. Taco Bell won't be adding anything new to most places in Ireland tbh. I think it will depend a lot on their prices.
I had the saddest elote ever at a Guzman y Gomez in Melbourne. The burritos at Mad Mex are quite serviceable, though. You're doing better than you think down there
For the longest time we only really had Taco Bill (not bell). It was so sad. We went once for the margaritas and had the blandest tacos ever made. I asked if they had anything to add some flavour and all they had was the single style of tobasco. I make just ok Mexican food but it's still better than any Mexican I've had from a restaurant here
TofuGolem
Fuck off. Lots of Irish people eat spicy Indian food. They can handle Taco Bell.
Sweezy5651
My Tacobell go to is a Chicken quesadilla with 2x cheese 2x chicken 2x sauce with the mild hot sauce. Always hits the spot.
PineappleIsDeliciousOnPizzaFightMe
Garron, on YouTube. He is hilarious. And delicious.
TheGhostofElizabethShue
Well now I’m doubting his sign off
Onlyhereforthelaughs
I know hes not likely watching this post, as it's probably a repost, but I suggest Chalupa shell for a first timer. That or the Nacho shell.
As a part-Irish spice wuss myself, I think it's great. Even the Hot sauce isn't that hot at all. I still go with Mild for flavor.

They about to have Ambrosia aka Mountain Dew Baja Blast, order it “Freeze” to have the best slurpee in your life

I think bread’s spicy and could heat my house with a single jalapeño!
Love it

This is how taco bell winds up winning the franchise wars!

If it's anything like the Taco Bell being pushed on us here in Australia, it's about as spicy as a wet rag, and just as tasty.

Yup. That's the real deal, all right.

Honestly I am pretty spice-weak (jalapenos will make me sweat) and I can't remember anything from T-Bell ever being spicy at all

I used to take their hot sauce packets and dump like five into a Tim Hortons chili, never eaten at Taco Bell once in my life though.

The taco bell in my college town had the freshest jalapeños I've ever had. Great stuff. The pizza place there too. Very odd, but made it worth it.

It's not. If anything it's too salty.
