Various forms of censorship exist. For example, a librarian can keep books about gay topics hidden and when someone asks for them say that they are checked out. Fortunately, most librarians are anti-censorship. Another form of censorship is self-censorship. There are some things I won't say, but that is my decision.

Broadly defined, censorship is "the suppression or prohibition of any parts of books, films, news, etc. that are considered obscene, politically unacceptable, or a threat to security." If I were to excise Pinkie Pie from the cartoon, I would consider that censorship. I would be saying that that part of the cartoon is politically unacceptable.
