Oh come on. Six billion dollars was never going to solve world hunger. That's about nine dollars for every person estimated to suffer from hunger. It was always a BS number, and the folks that came up with the "plan" knew it, they were just hoping for a windfall. Correct, being rich can make you happier in the sense that having access to healthcare means you are likely to not die prematurely/having economic stability also in general is likely to make you happier. At the end of the day after your material needs are met though, your happiness depends upon having people that actually like having you around. Best Elon can hope for is that people like getting paid to be around him because he's a terrible person.
