my partner and I are both hiring managers in skilled professional field and we hate it when people attach a photo. It immediately biases us against people who try to look attractive. I'm hiring a professional. show me your accomplishments!

In Germany it’s customary to attach a portrait shot of yourself to your resume. In the US, this would be seen as bizarre. Here, some hiring companies are trying to introduce one way video interviews like short ticky tocks. Fuck that too.

i prefer to have even names stripped on first reading of the cv. if hr pushes me on AI, imma quit.

HR remove all names, photos, etc from CVs before we review them. It helps remove any internal bias in terms of age / gender/ race etc. Obv after first review we get more details, but at least the first go through is done as blind as possible.

Good call. I always trim my CV to the upper recommended they post, if I'm overqualified. It's a solid tactic to increase chances of callbacks.

Doesn't hurt to try something random. Maybe they won't care, or have some kind of sense of humor. If they end up replying back needing a photo of you then you can give them a piece of your mind personally.
