Well, considering that ICE and its leadership swam to have absolutely no issue with multi million dollar earning baseball players, boxers, football players, etc. that live inside of America without even speaking English I think the Soccer players will be just a-ok. There were beginning discussions of a World Cup boycott in UEFA (the European Football federation) when the Greenland and accompanying tariff threats were at their height. I don't see it happening, but I really, truly hope fans don't go to the US matches, but instead go to Mexico and Canada.

On a systemic level: What do you think was his job the last 10 years and what do you think will change in their normal police behavior once ice is gone? The republicans will keep making ice behavior legal and police will keep supporting it. When they leave to terrorise a different city they will go straight back to their usual police violence.

The fact that he's willing to stand up and say what he said, even if it means he becomes a target (possibly even a target to his OWN POLICE OFFICERS), he still did it. Did some searching as well, and can't find any documented negative incidents involving O'Hara. So maybe stop with the stereotyping?

ACAB refers to every individual encounter with law enforcement. You cannot trust any individual to be a decent cop. You MUST assume they are assholes until proven otherwise.
