They say it is illegal touch an owl or to keep one as a pet in the US. But there are huge numbers of owls in Imgur. What gives?

This is Owl's Forest in Kyoto. I'm not sure if it's ethical, but they do have signs with info about how they treat the owls and trained them

Owls can't move their eyes. That's why they do their heads like they do. Eyes like radar dishes.

That's because of he who will not be named. Also, because of Rowling's transphobia.

Is the psychological part where he brings you a letter on your 11th birthday that says magic isn't real?

Once you see how an owl looks naked, you'll be immune from their psychological torment.

to be fair, to be American is to have physical and financial harm always be lovers, locked arm in arm.
That’s so beautifully stated and sad at the same time. Bravo.

Owls are a protected species. You shouldn’t be “working with” them to accomplish anything but rehabilitation back into the wild. Interaction
with individuals should be strictly limited. They are wild animals. They are not “friendly” and are never going to be your companion or pet.
I worked at a raptor center. All owls are wild. You cannot “domesticate” 1. Their typical response to humans is to run but will bite/scratch
Heavenissize17socks
You can't get the owl to come over to your side, but with trust & patience, the owl might let you come over to the owl's!
The center’s focus was rehabilitation and release, but did have a few educational animals that were too injured to be released. These 1/
individuals would go out to schools and events. None of these were owls because the stress of going during the daytime hours was inhumane 2/

I held a rock eagle owl a couple weeks ago. He decide to gra onto my thumb and start squeezing. If it wasn't for the glove...
My thumb would've been fucked. I was shocked at how strong he was
Ultratoxic
Oh yeah. My mom has an African grey parrot and one day she just casually snapped a broom stick in half. No apparent effort at all.
Like with her feet bar fight style?
Lol re-reading this I can see the confusion. I meant the bird snapped it with her beak. Just.. chomped right through it.
