Whenever my brother would say "Two brains think better than one!" when we were little (very much trying to drag me into one of his shenanigans) I would always reply "No, they just think more".
You know that line in the first Thor movie ? paraphrasing : " Science so advanced it's indistinguishable from Magic " ? Well MATH is basically the RUNES of our world...Maybe she can use magic to , idk , reverse engineer her HW ? ALSO , wasn't her talisman just born ? OR does he gain the intelligence of his owner prior to being born ? So he would only gain , Luz's smarts up to that point . SO, if she had obtained him in College , he would have college level intellect ?
True! But Flapjack knew lots of things that Hunter didn't, helped him grow as a person. Now, Flapjack was a very old Palisman, but I think the point stands that they are capable of their own learning and life experiences.
Luz, if the homework is related to magic, go get Amity. If the homework is related to anything else, go get Camila. Either of them would cherish working with you.
kojenk
Unfortunately they share the same braincell.

Arthur C Clark - sufficiently advanced technology is indistinguishable from magic
DignamWhenAskedaQuestion
That's probably where they got it from. I remember it in Thor too.
laserfrog
Khan Academy, but it is bullshit that it is accepted to pay for classes and then need a free online teacher to actually learn the material.

I was scrolling through and saw this loop and I thought to myself “this needs the dramatic gopher music” and lo!

Sorry Luz, 2 x 0 is still 0.

Well...isn't Stringbean an extension of herself? So.....it stands to reason Stringbean can't understand the stuff Luz can't get.
moonshadowkati
Nope. Stringbean is her palisman, but palisman are shown as being individual thinking entities.
DignamWhenAskedaQuestion
Yes. But i think he has a point.
HiddenSanity
True, but one of the first requirements to bond with a Palisman is sharing a braincell, basically.

"So, let me get this straight. You can't divide by zero, but the square root of negative one is an imaginary number?"
Burke616
Real quick, cut this pie into zero equal pieces for me.
jackal12345
"And Pi is a number with infinite decimals and they want us to use that to calculate the area of something?"
CanadianFurr
"Imaginary, you say? Can I just... *imagine* it doesn't exist?"

Me when trying to understand maths and confuse the person attempting to help me understand. Some people just aren't built for it!

Khan Academy, or look up dyscalcula (numbers dyslexia)
just4thelolz
First make a list of all the knowns and unknowns. Assign placeholders (a, b, c etc.) if necessary.
