Nah I saw this video of a cat leaping over a dog, and the dog playfully bit towards the leaping cat, accidentally grabbed the cats nutsack, and stretch that poor thing wayyy out. Then when dog let go, the cats sack snapped back, and the cat was wigging out (understandably). I woke up in the middle of the day (I work 3rd shift) laughing in my sleep because it had randomly crept into my thoughts. Lmao THAT must have hurt.
The zoo i once worked at had ferrets. Bunch of huge fellas and their mom, the tiniest, kindest snow-white ferret ever. It was always comical to see that kind little granny drag around a twice her size, rambunxious ferret around by the neck. She was the boss. Undisputed. She never bit any of us. Never ever. Her kids could only be handled with gloves or by people who like to bleed. But those kids better did what mom said.
I mean, you are somewhat right, but also, they were ferrets.
The issue that made the behavioral difference (i have to admit i cheated a bit with my story) was that mom was a former pet ferret (that had been thrown over the enclosure fence to the polecats by some unidentified visitor and saved and brought over to the ferrets by zookeepers). Mom had been properly trained. With ferrets, that's mostly just teaching them at a young age that biting humans is not fun. Mustelids have very thick and>
loose skin all over the body, like other mammals have at the neck. They playfully bite and grab each other with their mouths without hurting each other. Humans have a very tight skin and a ferrets canines will almost immediately pierce, when they bite with any meaningful force. So Mom understood biting humans is bad. She once caught her claw in my hair and panicked and even then, she started licking my face for attention.

a bunch of guys who enjoyed wild animals and consciously, for shits and giggles, decided to never train the ferrets. Where is the fun with an animal that doesn't "play rough". They weren't biting out of aggression. The ones that liked being handled were playing or sometimes bit to get your attention, like when you stopped scratching them for a few seconds. The biggest fella was safe as long as you scratched his belly. When you stopped, he thought it was playing time and his signature move was >

How to raise a bunch of insecure kids with anxiety and aggression issues by being a controlling mother.
