Going hog wild

I think there was some kind of glitch in evolution and slavs were meant to live in Australia because they seem to be really good at making friends with dangerous animals

Lots of them are hunted in Texas but my family gets pissed when people shoot them in their fields and pastures leaving them to rot because they have to remove them. They draw other prey animals to the area especially during calfing season. And sometimes those fuds hit the livestock.

I'd rather be chased by wolves than an angry boar.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I would honestly rather take my chances with the boars I have seen than a pack of wolves. The boars I have seen are tiny

When you hear them bark or growl it’s pretty terrifying, like a V8 engine revving.

I mean their ancestors were terrifying

It's good to see Ukrainian fighters finding something fun in all that snow and misery.

Imagine praying to whatever god or such you do. Or just hoping for a companion during a war and a wild boar befriends you... would feel surreal.

I don't see "I like your dog" as the #1 comment. There's something wrong here.

I farted.

Pumba, there are children watching.

I remember when we were camping, one night father crammed us all into the car because we saw piglets. It was in Crimea - no serious predators, except for boats :)

Can I pet that dawg?

5 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 2

they're emotional eaters and they only do that when they're wildly board.

Always good to remember tho that those fuckers can split your leg open like nothing with their tusks, and they aint usually the friendliest animals.

My best friend’s dad took a tusk to the calf while hunting. This was before cell phones. The man had to wrap his leg as best as possible and crawl on his side through a small swampy area, then up an embankment, and it was probably 150 yards on a trail to the cabin from there. He was a good hour + drive from the hospital. He killed the boar, though.

Wow. Thanks for sharing that. Glad he made it.

I’m guessing this one was raised by humans for awhile so he gotten spoiled with belly rubs

My old man hunts and told me how he climbed many a tree when he saw a few piglets approaching him.

I was chased once by boars while mountain biking. I was going downhill fast and they were right behind me for a solid 30s. Buttcheeks were clenched that time.

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I wear kevlar pants when hunting in areas with boars, i aint taking any chances

The reason boar spears often had/have lugs behind the spearhead? Because a wild boar, when it gets impaled on one of those suckers, will *keep going* down the haft to try and murder the hunter before it dies. A boar spearhead from the late 14th/early 15th century:

well fucken ´ell.

Look up knives with “wild boar” or “wild pig hunter” in the name and you also get the idea

They say anyone who hunts hogs with dogs doesn't like dogs.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hence the stick?

5 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You ever touch a boar? That ain't exactly fur. It's bristles. Way less fluffy. Thing is it makes it so they can't really scratch themselves. Hence they LOVE scritches.

5 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Also good to remember that this isn't exclusive to wild hogs. Normal pigs can and will fuck a person up good, they're just a little less ready to throw down at a moment's notice.

5 months ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 0

Friendly reminder that the main difference between a wild hog and a normal pig is the fence and feeding.

5 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Reminder of a story about a farmer who, at least from the pigs perspective, was underfunding them So one pig went behind the farmer, the other pushed him over and they ate the farmer instead

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They will go fru bone like bu’ah

A friend of mine had a couple of domestic pigs. In a pen. One day after feeding them he slipped in the mud in the way out of the pen. One of those pigs decided to eat him. It took a chunk the size of a grapefruit out of his upper thigh before he managed to kick it off and hurl himself over the fence. It took him months to recover. First day back on his feet he walked out there and blew that fucking thing away.

Ngl, I kinda feel bad for the pig. Pig was just doing pig things. Anyway, hope your buddy is doing well.

5 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Yeah I understand your response. I think we were all just shocked at the reveal.

5 months ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

... Why do you think they had the pigs in the first place? The pig just moved himself to the top of the menu

5 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

if pig ate man... then man ate pig... does that mean man ate himself?
