I can fit into the largest child sizes for some shoe brands and it’s a lot cheaper than buying adult shoes.

You might be paying more in the long run. Kids shoes generally are built for short-term usage, say a year tops, due to kids feet growing more rapidly. There’s no need for them to last beyond that time frame. Adults feet don’t grow typically, so you need shoes that are built for a longer time. It’s possible the adult shoes are a scam for price, but the odds do favor it being the quality difference.

Childrens shirts. I'm blessed with deflated ping pong balls for titties and can therefore fit most kids shirts. I wear dinos from boys section and kittens from girl section. I'm I'm in my 40s and I rock.

Some shoes, especially cheap sports shoes, will fuck up your feet if they aren't designed to take your weight, just be aware.

11 4E here. Many manufacturers refuse to make my size. The shoes that are made in my size mostly look like grandpa's white leather New Balance shoes, or solid black. Once in a great while I'll find a nice pair that fit, so I have to buy them even if I don't need shoes.
Kohl's seems to be the wide shoe last bastion.

But what if you really don't like softness? My marriage ended in divorce because I really like my towels air dried, hard and scrapy, without perfumed detergent (I feel they absorb moisture better that way) and my ex insisted on adding softener, fake smells and drying them in the dryer.

I guess was generalizing an awful lot there. Of course it's perfectly fine for men to like pastel colors and cute motifs, and there are plenty of single dads who do a great job of raising daughters and learning to braid hair etc.

My husband just straight up doesn't like it. He's extremely practical so anything overly cute gets a huff and a 'well, it's not what I would have picked'. He just took our kid out and the outfit he picked out was absolutely tragic. Jesus wept.

I'm probably one of those. I've absolutely got no feeling for it. If someone asks me if their outfit is nice, I found out I just judge by the look on their face what kind of reaction they seem to be expecting. Works most of the time, I hope. I don't often get asked a second time though. My ex-wife and my son tried a couple of times... They are both triggered by fashion and style and stuff, and good for them by the way, I just completely miss that genome.
