Four-star General Donahue who resigned after pressure tied to Pete Hegseth’s leadership. This is the respect he was shown as he left his home and his post. How can we trust our military leadership now? Time to put the Constitution first.

You can't trust ANY of your leadership, military or civilian. With VERY few exceptions. Your whole country is covered in shit.

I have a feeling there will be lot more people applauding as Hegseth leaves. And more than a few one finger salutes.

Stop resigning, don't capitulate in advance. Dig in, do the right thing, make them fire you.

This, the fascists still don't have enough power to come after people that are resisting by actually insisting on following the military's own laws and regulations. They are hoping everyone with ethics resigns on their own, so they can control everything without actually having the power to eliminate people that didn't actually do anything wrong. Refusing illegal orders isn't something they can actually successfully use against anyone, and they know it.

But did he even take the time to visit a make-up studio FIRST to make sure he was "camera-ready"? Whatever happened to military preparedness ?

I am still surprised Hegsteth is still walking. Next to Trump Hegsteth has done more damage to our military than anyone that I can think of.

3 weeks ago | Likes 64 Dislikes 1

Hegsteth is doing exactly what trump wants. To turn the military into a private army. In 1936 Hitler sacrificed his Brown Shirts to take control of the German generals. Once they were his, there was no stopping him. Evangelicals know history.

"How can we trust our military leadership now?" We can't

3 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

.... And could never.... But regardless of that, this is the same military that just a month ago double tapped medical service members on the bridge they blew up, and shot an unarmed naval vessel to let men drown. So.. like... I don't know why people think "but they took an oath to the constitution!" Will save them.

Another good guy fired by Trump

The military is 70% Christian - even moreso than the general US population. When (not if) Trump sends them against the public, they will step in line.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

All those soldiers clapping.
They will almost all be extatic to start committing war crimes on Americans when the time comes.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The overturn of America to an dictatorship with the goal to let bleed the citizens and selfenrichment is going on. Shame on every person, who support this corrupt regime. They destroy anything which has an worth.

Do not flee. Resist unlawful orders and deal with those giving these unlawful orders in a top-down-approach.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Funny that never once in his entire life has anyone respected Trump. I mean, can you see ANYONE doing this for him without being paid or lied to?

3 weeks ago | Likes 124 Dislikes 1

Or made to do so.

3 weeks ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

Yes he literally has rallies full of these morons, but excluding those lied to is just giving them an excuse for their stupidity.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I can see celebrations for Trump, yes. In fact, I intend to be part of it. Just need all those Big Macs to do their work.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

However, MAGA worships him, because he validates their hatreds!

3 weeks ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 0

At this point I firmly believe most of MAGA still supports Trump because of a combination of sunk-cost fallacy and Stockholm syndrome; "Whoops we voted for the worst president ever, but let's not ever admit we made a mistake! We'd rather biry our head even deeper in the sand. Besides, we're stuck with him now, so let's just pray and see where this goes"

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This is the key point!

They should not be abandoning their posts when we need them the most.

But did he have to use his AK?

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nope, that's why it's a good day.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hegsteth won't live long after Trump.

I was thinking as i lay in bed lastnight over the whole iran strait of hormuz thing, we have just shown china and russia the us military isnt much better off than russia's

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4-star general? That kid in blue is in middle school at best.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

corrupt people can't allow honest people to stay in positions of power, especially where they have the ability to question the corruption

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

America: you MUST overturn this shit.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"How can we trust our military leadership now?" - You can't. You never could. US military is the weapon of capitalism and imperialism.

3 weeks ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 7

And in that one statement you besmirch the legacies of McNamara who led the build up of forces to combat the North Vietnamese, the efforts of Colonel North as he bravely sold weapons to Iran to help fund the anti-communist humanitarian Contras in Nicaragua and basically spit in the face of Colin Powell whose diligent research and advocacy of regime change in Iraq captured Hussein’s massive store of WMDs and finally brought peace to the Middle East.

Now explain to me how any of those things was more beneficial to the “Military Industrial Complex” (commie sympathizer Eisenhower’s words, not mine) and not the protection of honest Americans’ civil liberties which are as safe as ever.

Your irony is too subtle for the current crop of uninformed meme consumers

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The word for the co-operators is a "Quisling"

Every single military member who does not leave ASAP, will be viewed as the Nazis are.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well I guess that means the American people now have another general they can hire to help us take back our nation. It takes an invitation.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The only reason Trump hasn't launched a nuke at Iran is because of guys like this.

There are fewer of them and two years left.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Donald Trump and his Band of Brotards will NEVER know what it's like to be genuinely respected and loved.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like that was in Stuttgart. Nice place!

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This kind of thing will only happen for Hegseth when he is in a coffin. The crowd will probably also be larger and louder. The disgrace that sonofabitch brings to the military seems to be without bounds.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Random side note: I was surprised to notice how German this looked, even before I saw the flag.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

As these men leave (or are arrested) we are left with a military willing to commit crimes against the Constitution and American public on behalf of the Criminal-in-Chief. For instance, National Guardsmen just acted in the capacity of civilian police and killed someone in Memphis. The U.S. Navy is committing piracy in the Gulf. The U.S. military is waging a war in defiance of a lavk of Congressional approval. WE are the shithole, 3rd world dictatorship.

3 weeks ago | Likes 448 Dislikes 1

Do you have a source for the US Navy Piracy in the Gulf? Would love to find out more.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Shithole majority demographic = shithole majority voting bloc = shithole country.

3 weeks ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 2

We only followed orders…

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

On the other side of things, they’re only getting rid of the ones who are overtly against this administration, while also doing a great job of making sure the best military minds are available for any sort of armed resistance.

3 weeks ago | Likes 34 Dislikes 1

true but at the same time we can only hope that when the military says enouth is enouth and launches the coup. the fact that the competent generals left and will 100% join the democratic side (whit republican sitting whit incompetent loyalist generals that know jacks and only is semi working becuase the underline is picking up the slack) the underline that will split into democratic supporter now whit the competent general leading vs the the Trump loyalist that got idiot in charge.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

That would be worse, and foolish. Refusing illegal orders -> good. Presuming your force supercedes the law -> bad. Way to oust a dictator wannabe to install a dictator for real.

2 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Always were, the veneer is simply falling off.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

We are a shithold, 3rd world dictatorship *with one of the most overfunded, overpresent, over equipped militaries in the world, with insane cutting edge technology, and a god complex the size of the fucking sun.

Unfortunately, that second part is highly relevant and a big ol fuckin problem.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You know that these resigning military officers are resigning for a lot of reasons they can't probably repeat. But feel it's better they resign then try to make a difference. Who knows the discussions that have been had

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

And let's be honest, it's not like the US military was a paragon of morality and law before Trump. They didn't need Trump for raping Central and South America to propagate US imperialism. They didn't need Trump for the countless crimes committed in fight against communism. They didn't need Trump for all the murder, and torture, the illegal invasions, and all the other breaks of international law that was the War on Terror.

It was already bad. Trump just made it even worse.

3 weeks ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

Yes, but as a none American, that stuff appeared to be in the service of the USA (while shitty), but now it appears to be in the service of this administration. There is a big difference regardless of how awful the us military can be.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

He basically just began treating Americans as worthless creatures to be exploited: the same way his owners have been treating the developing world for centuries.

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Absolutely right. Our country is being let down by those at the very top.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

The current situation as i see it is people rather have a futur for themself even if it means setting the world on fire, killing babys and murdering civillian.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He is setting up the military for the next insurrection.
