#2 reminds me of Large Marge

It’s even funnier if you imagine the animator that had to draw most of these while the were doing it

Same goes for fast forwarding recorded shows - it's always sex-face or fart-face

Didn't think I was gonna laugh so hard. I was very wrong and now my sides hurt.

Best part of the actual animation ones - SOMEONE actually took the time to draw that (they knew what they were doing)

Basically they have 'stages' in an animation that are all clear. And between those stages shit is just whatever makes the transition fluid

dude, if you've ever animated, you know just how weird drawing inbetween frames is. it's not always purposeful, it's just how it needs to be

So true, smear frames give the animation fluidity.

not necessarily, nowadays animators generally make keyposes, then have software do the tweening: https://en.wikipedia.org/wiki/Inbetweening

That being said, the older disney movies probably had junior animators do all the inbetweens.

These are all "animation ones"

Dude means the ones that were drawn by a human, not computer animated

9 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

Computer animation was also created by a human, and is actual animation. Drawn is just traditional animation.

Jesus Christ, dude. A person drew the shot with a fucking pencil. Is that better?

9 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Stop being pedantic. You know what they mean.

9 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Oh of I course I knew. I just felt that calling traditional animation "actual animation" is an insult to artists who do 3d animation.
