7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Are you talking about the helmets? Lol

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Watch long way round and long way down. It's ewan mcgregor and his friend riding motorbikes from the UK to NYC by land and UK to cape horn

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Watched it years ago. They helped inspire this trip.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Awesome! I wish both were still on Netflix, they're such a good series

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Outstanding ! Be safe !

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My rule is “don’t be a dumb ass”. It’s worked so far!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

DR650 is one hell of a awesome bike!

7 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 1

It's a bulletproof turd just like the XR650. I love them both.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Never one time has it failed to start on me! It’s for sale in Chile or Argentina if anyone wants to fly down and buy it!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'd be really interested to know why

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's low tech. Easy to work on. Tons of aftermarket support. Doesn't break and if it does, it's easy to fix (Usually). Well Weighted

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Cool thanks!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Anytime. I love my DR and I'll talk about it to anyone who'll listen. :P Any questions, ask away

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

yes it is, customer has a 1991 DR650 with 210 000 KM in odo, at 170k had to change piston and rings

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You ride that way, I guarantee there’s nothin but salt.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Wanna see more of your trip.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’ll post more pics later tonight!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Are you going to Bolivia (salt flat part)? Went this past Summer, best place I've been so far.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I went but there was serious flooding and I barely got a few hundred meters into the flats before the water was 18 inches deep

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You look like those advchina guys

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don’t know those guys. Hope that’s a good thing haha.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

It's a good thing. Look them up on YouTube. It's two guys that go around China and talk about stuff while they are on a motorcycle

La Chala?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Caught the reference. Also I think their next mini series is actually Chilie to Canada

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

So rad. I did Colombia-Ecuador-Peru and back down the panamericana about 10 years ago with a buddy on a 125. I envy your journey now.

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

It’s been a legit trip so far. 6 months in atm.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you ever let off the throttle?

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

From sun up to sun down about 45-55 mph most the day. About couldn’t feel my butt after day three.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

You realize now we expect a massive road trip photo journal, right?

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I will post more photos later. I guess I should have posted earlier because I’m going home in a few weeks!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just bought a DR350. Tough as nails.

7 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Used to ride a DRZ-400S, most fun you can have with your clothes on

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I've put 30k miles on mine. Did a 13k mile trip all over the US while living off it only camping.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

If you ever have any questions about it, feel free to ask me, or the dr350 thread. advrider.com/f/threads/dr350-thread.230695

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Some real gurus there. I go by the same name.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Holy crap! A motorcycle ride through South America! You should keep a log. Name it something snappy, like, the motorcycle diaries. Or sum’in

7 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I named my trip “there and back again” after the alternate title of the “the hobbit” which I loved as a kid.

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Did no one get your reference?? Lol

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Just one!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

at least theyre not klrs

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

KLR is a bit too heavy for me but they are still good bikes!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Badass, have a good one!

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Thanks dude! 6 months in right now and it’s been incredible!

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Would be keen to hear how it went if you ever get around to doing a follow up post.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I will post update tonight or tomorrow with a bunch of pics.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

How long does that take someone

7 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Longer than I've got PTO days for, I'm sure.

7 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Usually it's best to do "between jobs" when you've saved up a few grand.

7 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m 6 months in right now. You could ride from the US to the tip in Maybe 4 if you did it fast.
