Ever notice how there's not a fucking cop around when this shit happens but if you park your car on the wrong side of the street they there?

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Who the fk would live in a country where any moron can get their hands on a gun ?!

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 2

The more I think about it, the more I remember elderly are targeted for prescription drugs.

I will never go to the USA... holy sheet

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Guy's lucky that his attacker was too incompetent to deal with the jammed pistol. I mean, either that or he ejected two defective rounds?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That’s in Summerlin, one of the nicer parts of Vegas. I bet they were waiting at the community entrance & he was followed home.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Used to be when I lived there. Now in another part of town and it don't matter anymore. Bring back the mob.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

gang initiation.. probably not from around there and if he had succeeded its a completely random hit probably with a rental car

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

under some bogus information.. no way to trace it back to him

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

More American 6pm horror-news seeping into imgur. as if this place wasnt upsetting enough - here watch this dude almost get murdered.

4 years ago | Likes 32 Dislikes 11

If you don’t like it, you’re free to move along to the next post. Nobody holding you here at gunpoint

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

well that was unkind. Have a downvote for unnecessary meanness.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

maybe we need a new "USA" tag

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

I hate people. The asshole was going to kill this old man cuz he didn’t let him rob him? Way to escalate your crime. Fucking idiot

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

This is like the most casual and laid back attempted murder I have ever seen.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Next time, don't use a norinco in your hit.

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 2

I have a norinco box fed shotgun that's been trouble free but if my life depended on it I'd pick something else

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I had a norinco sks and it was better than the yugoslavia sks. It never jammed once but my buddies yugo jammed alot.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Norinco made oddly good quality stuff before they got banned. Maybe he meant Keltec or Hipoint.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Nah bro, Glock .40

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 2

Things might have turned out quite differently had the old man been armed.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 3

Idk, but it doesn't look like an assassination attempt. More like chimpanzee found a toy..

4 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 9

Bad comment is bad

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 7

The damn murderer is even holding the gun at the cliche sideways angle. Dude has no training with that thing and will probably shoot himself

4 years ago | Likes 28 Dislikes 1

Also CLEARLY hasn’t practised his IA drills…

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

We can only hope.

4 years ago | Likes 25 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Doubt he's gonna shoot anything with that POS handgun but yes, a moron.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

a POS handgun can still ---usually--- fire a bullet at a velocity strong enough to pierce a human

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I mean, the dude tried, it didn't work....

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Correct. You have successfully validated the usage of “usually” by the poster above you.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

99.978% chance it's a Highpoint

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

My assumption too.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

No one is yelling or screaming? No "Fuck help me!, Or " Get back here! ".

4 years ago | Likes 40 Dislikes 3

Methinks there's more to this story than what the video presents, but that's irrelevant to the charges at present.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 6

Personally my reaction to intense situations is complete silence; I kinda just forget that screaming is a thing tbh.

4 years ago | Likes 29 Dislikes 0

It'd probably take me a long time just to sort everything out afterwards and have *anything* to say.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

It's not a movie

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

dude running is way too casual. I’d dive over that gate

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

When you're body isn't capable. It isn't capable. Dude was already running away to begin with. Most OAPs are not natural sprinters.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Old Ass People?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

"Old-age pensioner," british phrase

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

But never forget....BLM.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

he's not lucky; It could have been much worse, but he's less lucky than the millions of people who DIDN'T get a gun pointed at them at all

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Don't forget the evil guy

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Demanded "property". That's oddly non-specific.

4 years ago | Likes 109 Dislikes 0

That may be a euphemism for drugs.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 4

Give me your house motherfucker!

4 years ago | Likes 60 Dislikes 0

Man it's a tough market

4 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Typical vocabulary for police reports. For a robbery like this it's generally gonna be "phone/wallet/anything else valuable on your person"

4 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Could be a phone, a car, a dog, any item owned by the victim

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

The dude probably owns a priceless rug or something, man.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It really ties the room together.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

This has got to be the slowest, laziest attempted murderer and victim duo I've ever seen

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This looks like it took place around the corner from Walter White's house.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Streets are devoid of parked cars except the getaway one. Pay attention to unusual cars near you. Circle the block if need be. Call PD.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

There is an HOA here in Vegas that you can't even park in the driveway at night. Vehicles must be parked in the garage.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Is it bad if I feel like the police can do their job for once? I mean without expecting rhe public to do it for them?

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

it helps having a broader set of eyes. its not a very detailed video so it would be quite hard

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Why… why does he just walk after getting through the gate? It’s waist high. Only luck kept this man alive.

4 years ago | Likes 282 Dislikes 1

Spikes up the ass

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

He appeared to be a fragile old man, maybe that's why he wasn't so fast?

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

It looks like he stopped and opened the gate as best he could. He ran afterwards. His gate has sounds so he couldn't just go over it. I ¹

4 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

feel he did an amazing job opening the gate without panicking and fumbling it.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

the robber being pretty fucking stupid helps as well

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I really think the gun jammed

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

NPC's lose aggro once you leave the zone

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

his gun didnt work. so he gave up.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Probably cuz the shooter figured he might have a gun and knows how to actually use it

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I don't get what's happening here. If he's gonna kill the guy he could have done it at any point. So confusing.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I lost it at “usually between ankle and chest height.”

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Amazing

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Strange that the robber gives up at that point too. "Damn, he went behind a tiny gate, nothing I can do now.."

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Why is it strange that after the robbery fails he then gives up? You want him to keep going and kill the old guy for nothing?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ofc I don't want that, I just don't see what changed once he got in the gate.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The guy never wanted to shoot him. He just realised waving the gun around wasn’t working.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah, thanks for the explanation.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I think the gun misfired

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

After you get to the safe zone all enemy and police pursuit stops and you can save your game.

4 years ago | Likes 256 Dislikes 0

Apparently…

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Not his house. The guy is running away from his house, see he doesn’t even know what side the gate latches on he’s just trying to get away

4 years ago | Likes 57 Dislikes 0

Also he looks to be elderly. That would explain his slow movement. He’s probably so terrified he can’t speak or yell. Fucking sad.

4 years ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

I love how nonchalantly he seems to open the gate as well.

4 years ago | Likes 71 Dislikes 0

He's def panicking though

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

no, I assure you the incompetence of the shooter is what kept this man alive.

4 years ago | Likes 54 Dislikes 1

He’s not trying to kill him he’s trying to rob him.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The poor attempt at a tap rack drill says otherwise. He put a good amount of effort in making that pistol fire.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah sure but he’s pointing it at the ground. Just wanted to scare him into getting something.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

To get better mechanical leverage to try to remove the jam, yes.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That qualifies as luck

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Not if you cause the malfunction.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 11

Having an incompetent person pistol whip distance away and not being bright enough to do so is luck.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

You grossly overestimate the novelty of the untrained.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

True luck would be to never be in this situation in the first place

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Looks like a bmw 3, but way too grainy to be sure

4 years ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 2

Doeant look like a bmw to me. More like an audi, not sure how popular the a3 is in the usa though..

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Extremely! So so many vape douche 19 years old drive them in my city. Which is Salt Lake by the way lol

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very popular

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That or an Alfa Giuila.

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

This is what I thought. It's also the base model looking at the front bumper.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

My thoughts too. Maybe they’re robbing people to pay for repair costs. Those Alfas are good looking but unreliable.

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 1

A coworker has one and it's been alright. Still had to go in twice this year for dumb stuff, but not the disaster I expected.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those are not really a thing stateside

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 8

They’re surprisingly popular and much more interesting than an M3

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I have a buddy that has one. You can just go buy one for like 35k.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

See em all the time. Neighbor has a stelvio.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Really? What area? Maybe it’s a regional thing. I’ve seen 1 or 2 at the most

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 2

I looked it up, they sold 7-8k of them each year in 2020 and 2021. Not super popular, but not rare. Driving home, just saw a stelvio

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This shit happens around the USA. Why are we paying 1 case of it?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

This does not appear to have been a professional hit, luckily for that victim. The would-be shooter should be picked up relatively quickly.

4 years ago | Likes 452 Dislikes 4

It’s armed robbery not attempted murder.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

if you pull the trigger it's attempted murder or assault with a deadly weapon at the VERY least

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

He never pointed it at him. Legally in your country I’m sure you are technically correct.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Amateur looking to one day go pro?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ask his wife what they guy's name is.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

not if he's hiding in a school

4 years ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 3

You're out of line, but correct

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

But he has a glove on so that his prints wont show up on the gun.

4 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 47

you forgot the /s, my condolences

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Fun fact! Fingerprints are circumstantial evidence. So when people decry some evidence as "circumstantial" to dismiss it, they are idiots.

4 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 1

good thing his face showed up just fine on video.....

4 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

That gun will disappear into a nearby body of water so that’s not a factor. But he does appear to be pretty stupid so you never know.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If it’s Lake Mead, the cops should find it in a couple weeks when the water level drops low enough.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

What was the news today about something horrific found in lake mead? They teased it on the news but walked out and missed it

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, it was literally another body lol. The third one. Sauce: https://www.cnn.com/2022/07/26/us/lake-mead-body/index.html

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Guaranteeing he gets charged with 1st degree!

4 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Its funny cuz the glove is on the hand he is using to try and pull the trigger.

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 13

What's funny is that the handy used to Cock it didn't have a glove on it so the gun would have his prints on it anyway cuz he's dumb

4 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

Can you explain how this guarantees this to someone genuinely currently? I love stuff like this. FBI files is old but I love that show.

4 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

1. My best knowledge of USA law says that, wearing a glove on a sunny day indicates an attempt to prevent fingerprints, which means the

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

but....but.......i work down at the beach, its been pretty hot and sunny. i wear gloves for my job. i walk up and down the boardwalk

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

2. attempt was premeditated AND they went out of their way to prepare for it in advance.

4 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

Sounds like the murder charge is because he tried to fire the gun. It just didn't go off

4 years ago | Likes 122 Dislikes 0

that's why it's attempted murder and not murder

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

From now on I'll be a little more willing to suspend disbelief in movies n stuff when the gun pointed at the protagonist's face goes *click*

4 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Looked like a failure to feed.

4 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Honestly, I'm wondering if it was a fake/broken gun in the first place. Some thieves will use such as tools of intimidation, hoping to 1/x

4 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

It was a real gun. Why else would he rack the slide like that, trying to load it as his victim's back is to him, running away?

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Even the best designed weapon will fail if not properly maintained. Vegas is out in the desert and knowing how little discipline this 1/2
