Leopard seal will wreck you for sure

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm pretty sure there were some penguins mixed in there, but I could be wrong

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is this AI bullshit. Get a real narrator.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Did you know some Seals bark when agitated?

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Any one of these can bite you if you approach it. By "not dangerous" they mean that it won't hunt you like a predator, not that it won't defend itself.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

well even then that information was way wrong...dont trust any stupid AI voice...

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Wow. Annoying, calling animals ugly, and dangerous misinformation. No wonder it make the mainpage.

Admittedly i've been flattened into a pancake before but that was when i was dating a nearly 600 lb woman

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm not even Buddhist, but, fuck, reincarnate me as a fat, floppy cutie. I want that life.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Leopard Seals….nature’s snakes.

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

These seals might not be hostile or aggressive in general, but they are still wild animals and as such still pose a danger if you arent careful.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Thanks, now I finally know which seals to pet and which to avoid on my daily commute from my suburb to the center of the city!

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is stupid- all seals are dangerous, they're basically swimming wolves, and they will all defend themselves if you get too close. Plus, their bites contains dangerous bacteria that can cause "seal finger" a very serious infection that moves into bone marrow and destroys bones and joints. Plus we are very dangerous to seals, flushing them off the beach exhausts them, and can separate them from their young. Stay far away from seals, watch them from a long distance and do not approach.

i was waiting for a pic of me and the 'not dangerous if well fed'

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Man, they missed an opportunity for a “this is a musician Seal. It was married to Heidi Klum. Though it has been shown to be a master of disguise in the past, it all seems to be in good fun, and it is so safe that it’s Wikipedia pages does not even need a ‘Controversies’ section” punchline there at the end.

Seal Team Six: Usually not very dangerous but very curious. Avoid.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Is this type of seal dangerous

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ohhhh! Now do me! Do me!

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

On behalf of the Gray Seal, fuck you narrator! He's adorable!

2 months ago | Likes 79 Dislikes 1

Seriously! You don't have to call the guy safe & snuggly, but ugly is a low blow. Our boy is barely off the ground, he don't need that noise.

2 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Tell me, gray seal, how does it feel to be so cute?

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

v

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah I agree. Grey seal cute af

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I thought we were looking at the chinstrap penguins for a second there, didn’t even notice the elephant seals

2 months ago | Likes 48 Dislikes 0

Me neither and i was expecting the next "Is this seal dangerous" "only if youre a penguin", but no, keeping clear of elephant seals is sound advice.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, at first I though there was gonna be a joke where the captions go, "these aren't seals, they are penguins".

2 months ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

“Looks like you blew a seal.”

“No, that’s just a little ice cream.”

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Leopard seals are terror made flesh, DO NOT GET CLOSE TO ONE!

2 months ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Kirsty Brown was the first known recorded death caused by a leopard seal. It didn't just kill her, it repeatedly dragged her down to 70-80 feet before forcing her to rapidly surface and dragging her back down multiple times, which would have been extremely painful due to sudden pressure changes.

2 months ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

First and only known recorded death. So are they dangerous, yes, in the potential sense. But scientists have also dived with them in the Antarctic for decades.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

I thought that animal was a sea LION. All these years, still gettin my animal facts straight.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Sea lions have ears. Seals do not.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Copy that, thanks!

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

typically i imagine you could just walk and be safe

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Actual information instead of tiktok bullshit: All seals are capable of biting. Observe from a safe distance. Do not feed them.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Nice post, have an octopus

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

What is this bullshit? All of them will bite you in defense. Leave them alone, appreciate from a distance.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All wild animals pose at least some danger, as their responses are unpredictable. Do not approach - observe from afar.

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Why do I have an urge to feed them all snacks?

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

All and I mean all of them can pose a serious danger i hate bullshit videos like this that lul people into a false sense of security around wildlife. Ive encountered many black bears and if you know how to act 99.9% of the time you will be ok but I would never ever tell someone not to worry around a black bear, its reckless and stupid

2 months ago | Likes 130 Dislikes 3

yeah, or into a false sense of danger...like the leopard seal in the end? there is famous footage of divers trying to film one and the seal thinks the divers are young/wounded/stupid conspecifics and tried to bring them food...the most danger in that ordeal came from diving in ice cold antarctic waters surrounded by floating ice with unknown currents and all that...on the other hand, all seals are carnivores with pointy teeth and even the smaller species still gotta bite like coyotes or so...

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

If you're taking advice from random internet videos with stupid voiceovers then you have problems more fundamental than not giving a Baikal seal the right amount of deference.

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Most of the "not dangerous" labels just means "wont kill you if you give it a wide berth and do not mess with it at all." That or "touching it won't instantly vaporize you." A lot of people just never learned that.

2 months ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 1

We maybe could describe animals in terms of yellow and red NPCs, and also aggro ranges for the red ones.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah instead of “dangerous” the better word here would be aggressive. Most of these are not aggressive. Even a small squirrel can be dangerous in the right/wrong circumstances

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Sure thing, Dwight

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

If it's a wild animal, give it space and do not approach! This is both your safety and its own.

2 months ago | Likes 26 Dislikes 2

Stay even further away if it has a nose ring, that means its suffering from a mental health disorder

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 16

You mean if it votes Trpublican and has Trump merch.

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fuck off with this bullshit.

2 months ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

Lol oh cmon

2 months ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 9

No. What are you, twelve?

2 months ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Why? You pedo

2 months ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 7

DO NOT FUCK WITH WILDLIFE!

2 months ago | Likes 179 Dislikes 3

Seriously.
I went to the Galápagos Islands last year. Absolutely gorgeous. But small enough that it has limited access. It’s not like Daytona Beach where you can just drive up for the weekend on a whim. It’s a national park, hundreds of miles off the mainland, with limited accommodations, entrance passes, etc. And while doable, it certainly isn’t cheap. You pay a lot to go. Point is, you go through enough hoops that you assume the people who are there want to be there for the right reasons. >

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

But Jesus Christ…SO MANY people just fucking trashing the place in general. But with animals... There are signs ALL OVER about not touching ANY of the animals—esp. not the sea lions which casually hang out in large numbers all over the coasts. So, of course, despite multiple “stay back” signs on the beaches, I would inevitably see DOZENS of people get close, even touching them. One lady TOLD her 8yo-ish kid to pet one for a photo. I was waiting for one to be in a mood and rip someone’s hand off.

You could drop "with" from your comment and still be correct.

2 months ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

And who woulda thunk that the piece of shit who threw rock at that seal was a Ukrainian millionaire

2 months ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 1

Sometime yesterday I completely ran out of respect for rich people. They are destructive, do-nothing, know-nothing, children given command over labor to handle all of the stuff adults are supposed to do so that they can pretend to make a difference. They pay for their “inventions,” call their demands innovations, and found new companies the same way that I founded a free sample of corn dip at Costco. I will never be surprised to hear a rich cunt is out there doing something destructive and cruel

2 months ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Zelenskyys first battles were with corrupt Ukrainian millionaires.

2 months ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

He might have been pooped out in Ukraine; but he’s a fuckin ruskie.

2 months ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Is it okay if the wildlife fucks you? Is it like stripper rules? 🤔
