So many dumb ways to die and this guy just got the gift of survivor bias.

Impressive . But fuck no.

But still impressive

That’s a fucking Buick

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*A Chinese car with a Buick badge on it. PS: Wait until you hear who really designed all those small Chevy's you've been seeing for the last few years - Daewoo of Korea.

Backing up to get it down gracefully was masterful.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Testing the very limits of the adage 'if it's stupid and it works it isn't stupid' there.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Drive it like a rental.

1 week ago | Likes 52 Dislikes 0

I’m shocked to see a Buick in Europe

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

Those are chinese plates. China LOVES black buicks, this is a known phenomena, look it up.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Those are not European cars, plates, or environment. China I'd guess.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Must be a rental.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

This kills your axle.

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 4

Might want to get an alignment done after

1 week ago | Likes 43 Dislikes 4

Why? He drives there twice a day

1 week ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

My suspension said I had to go home

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Oh thank heavens the paint is untarnished. Now all we need is an entire new set of axles, wheels, suspension....

1 week ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 2

I remember, the communism. This was the only way you could lift your car if you wanted to work on it. Terrible for changing tires.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 3

Now show us where the front bumper is.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Trying to ID where this is. Best guess is China.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

That license plate is from Weifang, Shandong Province, China

Thank you.

Perfect place for a two sides road

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Impressive doesn't even begin to describe this. I would never have even thought to attempt this.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

it's worth noting that, while it worked, it also puts WAY too much pressure on parts that aren't meant to do that, and absolutely ruined that car in doing so. Honestly, just ramming the other car off the road might have done less damage

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I wouldn't even do that with someone else's car.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Reminds me of our Jamaican bus driver that called all the 9-ft wide mountain trails, “2-lane highways”.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

On a fucking Buik!!!

Perfect Ad Placement

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That car has grippy socks

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Hell yeah

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

As long as it’s someone else’s car

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Not the kind of vehicle to be doing that sort of stunt in...

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

*Fucks front suspension*

1 week ago | Likes 181 Dislikes 5

It’s fine

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Looks like the rims got some too

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Tell me you don't know cars without telling me you don't know cars. Absolutely zero damage was caused here. The rims might have taken a scuff if the tire pressure was too low but we were shown they were fine.

Nothing in this video was any harder on the suspension components than hitting a pothole on a corner. Source: Engineer and casual mechanic

The wheels bearings won't be too happy about that...

1 week ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

That front suspension is fucked harder than a Christian girl on prom-night.

Best 15 seconds of her life. Then the pregnancy.

It is a red state after all

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I don’t think you know how springs work. I mean yes this is probably equivalent of driving on fucked up roads for a year but the suspension isn’t fucked from that. They’ll probably need a realignment but that’s about it.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

Was about to say goodbye tie rods and ball joints.

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

I was wondering how they get the car down from the wall without crushing the right side of the car or the mirror, but this longer version shows that.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Hell, I'd also worry about oil starvation depending on the engine design.

1 week ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Car engines are designed to cope with this amount of effective lean. They only got to about 30 degrees of lean, most cars can pull at least a full G cornering on good tires which is an effective angle of 45, and they still maintain oil pressure. Even if it tipped beyond that it was only at idle and it would take longer for any real damage to occur.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Maybe it's just because I've been researching the GR86, hearing the stories people have about that car in particular. 😅

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Ah... yeah, Toyota really dropped the ball with that one. They redesigned the sump to fractionally lower the block and didn't put in adequate oil baffles. From what I've heard, it's fine in a sustained corner but if you are doing chicanes the oil can slosh too much and cause the pickup to suck air.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Addendum: Seems sustained corners can be a problem for them too, they end up with oil pooling in the heads. Not sure why WRX don't seem to have this issue but the NA boxers do, I'm not a subaru guy, but I can say it isn't an issue for any of the traditional V and inline engines I've played with.

Read: Not enough lube to fuck the suspension sideways...

1 week ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

This is much more expensive than just driving back to the next pocket to pass each other.

1 week ago | Likes 113 Dislikes 5

That would require one of them to let the other one "win."

1 week ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

I feel like the white car could have done a bit more by going a bit further into the grass, doesn't look like an immediate drop down

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

which is not possible in this scenario, as the white car has no driver

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Oh, I was under the impression the other vehicle was broken down

1 week ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Backward??????

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

yeah, we have no idea where this is located... so it literally could be 6 hours of backwards driving on a single lane road in some bum fuck rural area

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I had to do that on a mountain in Scotland. I had just passed a lay-by, so I backed up. Unused to this type of situation, I erred by backing into the spot (which was on my right, i.e. the far side of the car and the near side of the drop-off) instead of backing up straight until I was past the spot so the other driver could have (more safely) pulled into it so I could pass. I almost tumbled off a mountain when no one in the world knew where I was.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

it has pockets?

1 week ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

I think he means a spot where the road is wide enough for two, though Often that just means barely enough space to park while the other car drives by.

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

What has it got in its pocketses!?

1 week ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

No damage was caused here, how was it expensive?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 2

lmao, if you honestly believe that no damage was done to the car climbing the wall and riding it like that, then plopping back down did no damage, I've got some deals for you

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 1

Fine then, if you believe your "knowledge" is so supreme, explain how damage occurred. Use specifics, since you must know the suspension layout and individual components. Remember, you are talking to a mechanical engineer here.

lmfao, have a seat champ, it's the internet. nobody believes anyone here, genius. shoo, clown.
