... because it feels normal once you're used to how the language sounds and even though I don't understand, it can take me a while to notice

Nah, you lose more from the translation from the native tounge. Plus it's doesn't take long untill the subtitiles are only there as support.
Eeeh, I'm not a fan of dubs because most I've heard are bad. Also I think it takes away from film and actors. It's not that distracting 1/
