They hit three bicyclist and killed one while filming it and laughing. The top genius up there had a history of juvenile crimes and didn’t think he would be punished.

What a couple of vile fuckers. Rot in prison!

We need to get past these dreams of redemption for people because they are young. You cannot fix people like this. If your car is fucked you take it to the crusher.

Second kid looks like he might have figured out just how fucked he is. First kid looks a little aloof, annoyed to be there. What an asshole. I hope he gets a goddamn clue and that it scares the fucking piss out of him.

I fear that both are thinking "Man.... I bet I look super lit right now, bruh"

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 2

Unfortunately places like 9gag have used this to be become incredibly more racist....

That they were so stupid to video their murdering of the guy means they will convict themselves. And the sheer amazement of the guy who thought he wouldn’t be charged as an adult.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

they should get life without parole, solitary confinement, and the only time they get to leave their cell is when they give talks to other asshat kids like them, showing them how stupid it is to fall into a behavior pattern that would make you think hitting someone with a car is fun.

What about death penalty right after the court case, would love to see them crying in the court room pleading for their lives, cuz they didnt give that cyclist a chance, so why should we give them one

Damn, Joe Mande has fallen on some hard times

Sauce?

Give them some affection and all the sex they can handle.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Interesting question here... is there even a road to redemption for this kind of cruelty? I think not. They're young, but old enough to know what they were doing is wrong, and did it without remorse and showed no remorse AFTER knowing they killed someone. I'm morally against death penalty, but that top fucker especially REALLY tests my composure here.

I really wonder what has to happen to a person that you come up with an idea even close to that?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

This is the result of all the fuckwads online talking mad shit about running cyclists over. Not everyone does it, but when you put out an environment of hatred towards one group, don't be surprised when it happen again, and again, and again.

As a cyclist of 40 plus years who dealt with all manner of shitty motorists, dealing with deranged motorists is about the only times I've wished I had a handgun on me.

Someone broke them when they were little children.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They look particularly stupi

D

Actually getting the book thrown at them instead of a 30 day suspended sentence as the cyclist they killed happened to be a retired cop.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Under the prison. Until they’re dead or dying.

2 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 2

Put them with darrel brooks

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Need to be making little rocks from big rocks the whole time with few breaks

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

I don’t know how old they are, but I’d prefer minors didn’t go to prison for life, even horrible ones like this. Young people who do horrible things can turn things around now and then.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

A teenager with a face tattoo? A sure sign that he was right on track for success before this happened.

Just one thing in a long line of bad life choices.

I’m on the fence about the death penalty. Not in this case. This is pure psychopathy

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 7

So you're not on the fence...

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I don’t know. 🤷‍♂️

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Local rumor not confirmed yet but with them both being minors the death penalty is not an option. Their lack of remorse is telling- hope they’re locked up for life.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I guess I’m against it in this case then, actually. But they clearly need a long, long time in prison. I generally support lighter sentences for younger people but this is so egregious

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Fuck them kids.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 2

Uhh phrasing.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

In prison? 🙃

I hope they get the pineapple treatment in hell.

OH! From Little Nicky. Oh my.

Thank you! Honestly, I think this is my most favorite reply that I've ever gotten. The range of emotion in this five word post is amazing. I love it, and the message it construed. <3

.....and were laughing while they did. Fuck wads.

This is why I am constantly looking around in all directions when I’m walking around in town.

Maybe it's just me but I feel like asking people to rank humans on a scale from "apes" to "humans" absolutely compromises any value the data collected might hold and leads to these kinds of absurd headlines. I accessed the study itself and there's zero control variables, the ONLY questions asked are about cyclists, zero questions about where people might rank other groups, even themselves. I feel like it also pisses me off more because the presumption isn't even wrong, this is just incompetence.

2 years ago | Likes 33 Dislikes 1

Humans are apes.

2 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Apes are my least favorite animals because they remind me too much of humans. Well, Apes and Dolphins. Basically, the smarter the animal, the more I deem them to be capable of being willfully sadistic (and they kinda are if you look at the data).

...There are exceptions, like Bonobos and Orangutans, afaik.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Why don't all the cyclist hating commenters that spam other threads shitting on cyclists come and tell us how much they like it when someone acts on the kinds of things they say in the comments?

Look, I'll be real with you... I hate irresponsible cyclers and certainly wish they stayed off the road if they didn't want to follow the same rules as the motorized traffic they share space with. I'm willing to bet the large majority of drivers are just like me. I don't want to see cyclists dead though, end of story.

2 years ago | Likes 37 Dislikes 13

For the record, the cyclist they hit from behind was on the far right side of the road, against the curb, and (I think) in a bike lane. 1/2

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

The cyclist didn't even see them coming until a fraction of a second before these assholes plowed into him at about 50mph. 2/2

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Yeah, this situation is entirely different than the normal cycle post stuff was my point. This situation was wholly on the psychotic perpetrators. I'm not an apologist for shitty or intentionally dangerous drivers either.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I will never understand why people hate "irresponsible" cyclists so much when people in cars are so much more dangerous to others and break the law constantly. I don't even think people understand how much car drivers break the law because of how normalized it is, but somehow the cyclist doing something stupid and posing no danger to others is the focus of hate. people have such ridiculous biases and excuses for their own tribe's behavior.

2 years ago | Likes 27 Dislikes 14

It's 'cause people encounter cyclists while they're trapped in their miserable commutes, filled with road rage and hatred of their lives

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You're answering your own question with that first sentence. Cars are inherently more dangerous than bikes, so as a driver you have a responsibility to not kill things while driving. We just don't want fragile beings acting unpredictably on the road to suddenly turn us into murderers. Drivers also obviously shouldn't break the law, but most people won't have a hard time adjusting to and predicting the actions of the drivers that do, unless they're being blatantly negligent.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 1

Most importantly here, I want to echo the sentiment of the guy you responded to - you don't fucking run someone down for inconveniencing you. To answer your question though: because it's a dick move to take an entire lane at 15 miles an hour for an extended period when safe options are available, as people back up behind you, whether you're on a bike or not, whether or not it's legal. It's not rocket science. Exact same reason people get mad at cars using the passing lane to drive slow.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 2

I don't drive often, or very far 90% of the time, less than 5 miles at a time, but even so I will ALWAYS see at least 3 of these violations, every single time: speeding, turning without signaling, tailgating, not stopping for stop signs/red lights, pulling out onto the road without looking, illegally passing on a double yellow. I see those every single time I drive the 3 miles or so to the corner store.

2 years ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 1

I'm capable of hating multiple demographics at once. Irresponsible drivers, irresponsible bikers, that one dude who walks a little too far in the road.. hating one does not exhaust my ability to hate the others.

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Very broadly however this doesn't mean homicide for shits and giggles is okay.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

While I generally don't mind cyclists and make sure to give them plenty of room, which I also do for motorcycles, the ones I'd class as irresponsible are cyclists who ignore things like stop signs, traffic lights, and right of way rules. It makes them very unpredictable. Unfortunately there are a lot of cyclists in my area that fit into that group.

2 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 1

So, in other words, you have a beef with them because the do the same shit motorists do?

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 8

I don't see many cars 3 abreast on a windy road. I don't see many jumping lights.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I am not disputing that motorists do it. I'm saying it's something I see far more often with cyclists. Where I live it's pretty rare to see someone blow through a red light, much less a stop sign, but I see cyclists do it all the time.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 1

Your comment made me really consider it, and I think I might have an answer: People (generally, not counting assholes) get angry in proportion to how likely a motorist's or bicyclist's actions are to cause death. People seem to be about as angry at someone driving _really_ "shit, if there's an accident someone's 100% going to die" recklessly as they are at a bicyclist blowing through a crosswalk when motorists have a no-yield green (which could 100% lead to that cyclist's death if hit).
