SacrificialClam
Literally not a single fire. What a waste of time.
ProbablyCrazier
No camping except in designated spots? Pffffft
ERKNEES
The dingo ate your baby
RetrogradeLlama
The West is incredible.
marinate1016
Best part of the country.
RetrogradeLlama
Indeed. Especially if you like to hike: it's amazing.
SwissScars
Can you hunt the camp?

Thanks for the pics OP. my wife and I went camping in the valley of fire back in 2013 for three days. I felt like I was on a Pink Floyd album cover for the entire time. So beautiful and quite surreal.
marinate1016
Extremely underrated place
mtang63
One of my favs….kinda a hidden treasure…..never crowded when I’ve been
marinate1016
Probably because everyone goes to Zion, GC or Hoover and skips State parks which is a shame because everywhere in the southwest is beautiful

Put Craters of the Moon Natl Park on your list
marinate1016
Had never even heard of that one wow
TheSlouchOfBethlehem
there's a designated overlook on a gravelly little hill there where the wind was just howling
marinate1016
Sounds like Iceland
TheSlouchOfBethlehem
Similarly young-ish volcanic areas, although I've never seen anything much outside of Keflavik. We took a day trip to Craters on our way to Yellowstone

Do you even try running the a/c in the car or is it pointless in a place like this?
choppedliveraldente
You buy a white car. Tint your windows. And blast that ac on full you should be ok.
marinate1016
Running AC is never pointless
OregonComputerGuy
I looked at each picture, I didn't see any fire
cattlegrazer82
Do they have fire?
marinate1016
You don’t see it?

OrkenMork
Spent an afternoon in the Valley of Fire and went looking for the petroglyphs. We also went to Red Rock Canyon on the same vacation.
marinate1016
Petroglyphs??
OrkenMork
Yup. Google Valley of Fire Petroglyph Canyon Trail for details! That's where I learned about something called an "Atlatl"
marinate1016
Ahh the ataltatl rock we stopped at but I didn’t go up the stairs
