No need for a source tbh, nearly every american has had to adjust their grocery habits to account for the price hikes. Literal recipes from the great depression are too expensive to reasonably make now. You might need a source on it being greater or less than other price hikes, but there is no arguing that prices are historically high. Anyone trying to is arguing in bad faith.

True that sources are good to validate claims, but only hard statements of specifics really need sources, citing numbers, studies, or comparing one thing against another. You dont really need a source to know that tariffs increase the costs of goods for consumers and that inflation is running rampant, these are widely publicized parts of America's current political enviroment. Though providing a source when referencing them is considerate. It is not like they cited specific inflation numbers.

In 2017 I pulled the rip cord early on our retirement plan and my wife & I moved from LA to a small farm in the midwest - complete with our own well water, orchards, gardens, w/ some chickens/sheep/etc. We did this because we knew a vote for trump was a vote for American nihilism.
