Saw a Venom crash at an airshow ages ago. Pilot died. Later, went to a T-birds show. Pilot crashed. Lived. I don't go to airshows anymore.

It still uses The same engine right? Can't help but think it might be a tad under powered if so.

It uses a slightly more powerful engine and the extra weight comes from more wing area. It also has a higher maximum takeoff weight.

I image it handles more like a super hornet due to higher drag, lower T/W but it has larger LERX and lower wing/body loading presumably.

The Mitsubishi F-2 is designed by Lockheed Martin. It is larger than an F-16 and carries locally sourced avionics, including an AESA radar.

OP must have been thinking of the Me-163 Komet, which was a rocket engine with a cockpit and some cannons attached.

I used to have a 1:72 model, such a cute little thing. Looked tiny next to my Hurricane in the same scale.

If you know the airframes , you can see the similarities. The whole industry is full of ripoffs and the like. 1/

But that's because usually, the successful planes become the basis for everyone else's design, because they work. 2/

But R's and C's stealth fighters are hardly stealth, the Chinese one is only partially LO in the front, meant as a strike fighter, 3/

Easily targeted by US systems. Designed to target mobility aircraft like tankers, carriers and recon, not really for 4/

#85 is showing the older (2nd gen) version of the MiG-21 (MiG-21MF). So it might be a good idea to swap the images and descriptions. (2/2)

Basically, the MiG-21MF was the last of the 2nd gens, and the MiG-21bis is the last of the factory-spec (non-upgraded) 3rd gens. (3/2).

J-31 will enter service soon and the J-20 already entered service. It wasn't a technology demonstrator. The Avro Arrow was cancelled.
