I would vote to employ just one more RN rather than an additional 1,000 politicians hell bent on saving democracy.

Bless all good nurses.

My favorite was when my cell phone decided to yeet itself out of my pocket, right into a puddle of the patient's piss. Ah, nursing...

Gee, this is way they're taught on day 1 on Nursing 101 to never keep patients in the breast pocket.

When I worked at Amazon, this would always happen to me where stuff would fall out of my vest. Always hated when my clerk fell out.

let us just hope, that none of her friends come around the corner!

The ending "something beautiful just happened" always gets me lol

Bend the knee.

The patient at the end got me good

I wish scrubs had that type of carrying capacity.

I'm an engineer and this happens to me too... Pens, highlighters, safety glasses, esd wrist strap, Q-Tips, tweezers, dead components, heat gloves, acid brushes, X-Acto knives...

Scientist. Markers, pens, scissors, box opener, tweezers, pipette, calculator, post-its, the flask I'm pre-warming (I am 37C). The safety glasses should be on my face, but if not, those too.

The walker made burst out loud, laughing.

I'm not a nurse, but i work in healthcare. I learned how to be minimalistic with what I carry. Leg pockets in the pants also help.

This is very true lol

Ya gotta be ready for anything!

Can we get this lady a tool belt or something?

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Is this why womens clothing doesn't have pockets?

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

That's so accurate 😂

1 year ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

She's fully loaded.

1 year ago | Likes 161 Dislikes 0

She got snacks and supplies

Including a spare nurse...

1 year ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

I think that was the patient from room 404.

1 year ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

You may be right...

1 year ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Fully loaded and fake. No way in hell a real nurse pulls a shift in those shoes.

1 year ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 1

Nurse here. Can confirm about the shoes. Also, no nurse in their right mind wears all white unless they are still a student.

I've definitely dropped my fair of stuff out of my top pockets when I start CPR. Never a patient, but probably my ambulance partner...

Yeah, fishermen have a slightly different problem. Ever enjoyed seeing your watch slowly disappear from sight?

I'm not a nurse, but I will never forget my reading glasses falling out of my breast pocket and plopping straight onto a turd in the commode pan I was bending over to empty. This happened directly after squatting down to put cream on the client's legs and splitting my trousers in the arse. 'Twas a cursed day.

did you at least use the sentence
"i can't see shit!"
Or, well, you could, if you only wore your glasses!
Any other contenders? Give me your best/worst, please!

When my sis was recovering from surgery she told the nurse “I’m gonna throw up” so the nurse grabbed the closest thing which was a washcloth. My sister was mortified about throwing up on this woman but she straightened up and said. “It’s the not the first time, it probably won’t be last. I’m going to take a shower and I’ll be back.”

Some days are just shitty, no pun intended. One day our dog ran away and right away in the search for her I fell down the outside stairs, badly busted my knee open, tearing the knee out of the pants i was wearing on the concrete and and then bled all over them, and simultaneously lost my glasses. That's ok though, I found the glasses (don't worry - they were broken)

*nods in 'fellowship of nurse'

You can't claim to be an experienced nurse if you haven't had a patient piss/shit on your scrubs...

Bless you for your service!!!

Makes me think of the time I pulled my phone out for an important interview and I dropped my phone into the toilet I had just peed in. 1, read ONE, singular drop of piss water flew up, behind my glasses, and into my eye. 0 shame, I fished the phone out but it was toast. Didn’t get the job either lol

Some days you realise you just need to go home, curl up in bed and interfere with the world as little as possible until the curse passes.

1 year ago | Likes 14 Dislikes 0

This legit made me laugh out loud

1 year ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

One day I had to clean up urine and blood in 2 separate rather thorough experiences and I got home and my friend's dog walked dog poo all through my carpeted house... I lost it
