The court needs revamping as previously this is what kept a lot of their insanity at bay. Now, abortion rights gone (in states that didn't enact their own laws), amongst other things.
2028 is not something that will happen for him. I believe even scotus has made comments about how clear the law is on the matter.

This executive order directs the usps to not deliver state mail in ballots—only federally approved new trump list ballots. This kills mail in voting and even disrupts mailed ballots arriving to voters. You need to vote in person—where they’ve already suggested ICE encirclement of polling stations.

Again, ice has no jurisdiction over citizens, and immigrants aren’t voting, sending law enforcement or military to polling places is a felony, and they don’t have the numbers in the first place. Going by 2024 numbers there were seven times as many polling stations as ice agents, even if they only go to blue areas that’s not enough people to be scary, especially when poll watchers can and will run them off. This is, very literally why we have poll watchers, because they did this in the sixties

Mail is a federal jurisdiction. The SCOTUS already ruled that the USPS doesnt have an obligation to deliver mail; they can even destroy mail if they so choose.

No, but rural and military/overseas citizens are more dependent on it. CA, CO, WA, HI, UT and NV have mail in voting for all elections as standard but you can vote in person.

2028 won't happen. Scotus doesn't write law, they interpret it. The issue would have to be brought before them and the law is extremely clear. No interpretation allows for it. Despite how complacent people think the left have been in dealing with him, I don't see him getting away with it.

All Trumps lawyer has to say is: the law means 'two terms in a row'. The amanement doesnt say those words, but the laywer argues that is what it means. Then SCOTUS has to decide if that is true or not. And I think it's 50-50 chance SCOTUS will side with Trump.

That is what you and I would say. For us it's 100% clear what the Constitution says. But for me it used to be 100% clear the President could not assassinate his political opponents, and SCOTUS ruled he can. To me it was 100% clear the President could not use the military to stage a literal coup. Yet SCOTUS ruled he can do that. So for you and me it might be 100% clear Trump cannot run a 3rd term. But SCOTUS might still rule differently and I think he's going to try after the midterms.
