Guess you’ve never been to Sable Island.

That horse up front is like “OK Greg, enough with the fucking instagram. Can we *please* go now?!

Horses are anxiety filled messes because of their evolutionary sense to run from predators. What predators are there in Iceland?

Now I have Spock singing about the bravest little hobbits in my head.

What about Himalayan horses?

Technically they not wrong. That looks like Wyoming. If it was Iowa we we be rotating clockwise with the vapor not the wind- thus this ganja mist ya have would’ve been Boston burning of hotness! So rain it is.

If you're cold, they're cold. Bring them inside. - Wonderful advice. Good luck with that.

That horse is amazing!

Huskies of the equine world. But, most likely, less petulant.

Brave? Or just.... Got no choice?

2 years ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

More like designed appropriately for the environment they live in, they have a thick winter coat that they shed for summer

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Still wouldn't call that brave. Also, designed is an interesting add.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Adapted would probably be the correct choice, Engrish is my third language.

Zero complaints here mate. I like it.

Fun facts: The record low of Iceland is -56 Fahrenheit in Grimsey. The record low of the USA is -80 Fahrenheit in Prospect Creek in central Alaska. For the continental US it was -70 at Rogers Pass, Montana.

-56F ~= -48C, -70F ~= -56C, -80F ~= -62C

Alaska is on the same continent with 48 other states. You mean conterminous or contiguous

You might not be ready for this one. In France we call our island territories "l'outre-mer", which is fine, it means they're across the sea. But in opposition, we call the main territory... La métropole.

Now use Celsius like the rest of the planet. The true freedom units.

Yeah, I wish people would use metric rather than their local system. Everything so convoluted: chains, furlongs, statute miles; pecks, bushels, barrels. And then ounces, cups, pints and quarts to the gallon (imperial, US). Inches, feet, yards. Even an acre is nonsensical - 60' x600' But the cake is their use of x-llions of miles for space - use c for Christsake!

My neighbor had Icelandic ponies in an Alaska location that used to regularly have weeks of -30. They were fun to ride. In a trot, there is no bounce. And they’re small.

Icelandic horses have a unique gait called Tolt - it’s a 4 beat gate vs 2. They’re all such fun little guys, love Icelandic horses!

Icelandic horses get offended when you call them a pony. They are mortal enemies of Shetland.

Brave?? They look pretty chill.

So close... brave doesn't really means "aggressive" or "fighting"

*cold

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Excellent. Like, 3 wooshes and counting. Bravo my good person.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah they aren't freaking out about it. That's brave.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Look around. What are they supposed to do? Go hang out in the barn that doesn't exist?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yes

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

They stand just a bit sideways to the wind. There is a reason the don't face straight away from the wind.

Goes up the butthole?
