I once put a 24" CRT out on the street for collection, watched a drunk dude kick it at full speed, broke his ankle in front of his friends
CRT's usually have a reinforced steel frame behind that plastic, drunk guy took a good 10m run off at it. Not even a dent of glass broken

That's not the worst danger. Actually, CRT monitors have mercury in them. Very toxic.
