It's a very possible way to fuck with maritime lanes, both shipping and military. Supposedly, during WWII and like through the Cold War, both the US and Soviet Union, were using Dolphins for Military applications; ranging from mine detection, carrying/planting surveillance equipment, all the way to supposedly even planting mines/bombs.
