I wouldn't say that getting a tattoo without knowing that it's a white supremacy tattoo would make someone an accidental nazi. Like, if I didn't know what it stood for and took a cool skull tattoo today and found out later that this particular design is called totenkopf and it was used by Nazis, the tattoo wouldn't make me a nazi. It'd be a big oopsie poopsie, sure, but having the symbol on your skin doesn't automatically make one a nazi. You're a nazi if you support nazi politics.

Halfway houses are incredibly important, without them prisons would just empty people straight into the streets with nowhere to go - if you run one you need to be willing to take anyone: you can't pick and choose.
That's untrue though - most crimes are minor offences committed by disadvantaged people who deserve representation in a system that would happily deny them it. The vast majority plead guilty in exchange for leniency, so their lawyers just present any mitigating circumstances and make sure prosecuters didn't violate their clients' civil rights. Most criminals are not inherently bad people, and all of them deserve representation and a chance to truly rehabilitate.
If you had much experience with incarcerated people you'd probably understand that most of them are desperate to avoid going back to prison, and one of the reasons they can end up in a vicious cycle is because they don't have support after they're released. These are people who have served their time and paid their dues: it isn't fair to say they're bad people because of offenses you know nothing about.
Satisfaction? What has that got to do with anything? To function as a society there are certain jobs that need doing, regardless of whether you find personal satisfaction in doing that job.
Yes, bad people need lawyers too. So someone has to do that job. Same with halfway houses. They exist because they benefit society, even if you don't understand that.
Not everyone are sociopathic/narcissistic/etc, some people will actually help others just because it's the right thing to do.
It's more like being a Foster parent in that you need to be open to the idea that people can recover from damaged pasts. You also need to be willing to drop the dogmatic idea that a criminal conviction is what defines someone as being good or bad - the law is not a moral authority, merely a behavioural one.
Reminds me of an old friend born in 88 that had no idea about the Nazi connection for years when making online usernames. Every time I see that really funny Reddit comment that makes a joke with this premise I laugh.
There are also Germans who still doesn't get that and be like super cringe of "i still wanna use it because its my birthday and i dont care". I met multiple ones.
