I don't know if it's the same in Turkey but we call that a killdeer. They like gravel driveways too because the camouflage is nearly perfect.

It's perhaps not surprising a lot of ground nesting birds like gravel drive ways and roads is also not surpassing surprising that many of them are in population decline
