Dear entire world, there are absolutely things in life that you do not have to fkn record and post to the internet. WTF were these people even thinking? Do they have friends that want to see this?
I wish I had gotten one of these when my Bentley was a puppy! I got one a year ago to help with his schedule and me being disabled for our balcony. He refuses to use it, aka his training is confusing him.
It’s not deep enough for that, it isn’t raining directly on it (the concrete around it is dry) and there is a super absorbent pad under the grass. (I own one of these)
If they are desexed male dogs often never worry about lifting their leg to pee. Also depends on their environment, if they're in areas with other dogs where they want to mark their territory. I had a staffy who lived to be 14yo. Squatted his entire life.
There’s a guy I follow on Instagram who’s trained his dog to carry a stick with a mini umbrella attached. Dog is visibly upset if it’s raining and he doesn’t have his umbrella.
In my experience dogs do not like walking in the rain. Of the four we've owned none have wanted it. We fostered 10 dogs last year as well and none of them like it either. The one that we own now will do it but practically runs through the walk to get out of the rain. Seems to be mixed feelings about it.
I had two huskies that haaaaaated the rain. Normally I'd take them for a 45 minute walk or 30 minute run in the morning, but when it was raining hard, they'd both steer me home after a 10 minute toilet break.
Not all dogs lol. I had an outdoor dog (his bed was in the garage and could go outside whenever he wanted). He did not like the rain or snow. If it was raining he would walk right up to the edge of the patio roof and do his business by backing up to the grass. He did this when there was snow as well.
My parent's dog goes through phases. He's also outdoor and sleeps in the garage. A couple weeks ago when it was pouring I went outside and dude was just laying in the middle of the yard, happy as a clam. Last week when it was barely raining and warmer, he was laying in his crate all day lol.
Agreed. I grew up with a huge hound dog that did exactly what you said, backed up to the grass when it was raining. Or even if the grass was wet. They all have personalities.
Not all, and when training the puppy sometimes that's enough for them to have an accident. As annoying as this is, it's not a terrible way to keep the process going until they are more aware of potty time.

Took way too long to realize that wasn't my microwave beeping.

That beeping sounds just like my microwave, it gave me the instinct to go get whatever I put it in out, but I'm upstairs and nothings in it.
Leprechaunballsaregold
I bet he only wears them indoors

Whatever they're cooking in the microwave is done

I for a second thought the microwave beep was an added sound effect for Wilbur’s pee positioning.

Good job and super cute, but why is this here?

Now we know which way is north south!

Lola is like that, but she is a bigger girl. Neighbors get a kick out of watching me with a golfing umbrella keeping her from the rain.

Is this a concern for the downstairs neighbors? If they leave it out in the rain, won’t it overflow?

there's no such thing, cats wont recognize your authority so you cant "own" one. If anything it owns you...

My shih tzu never outgrew this. He squats to tinkle and it’s adorable.

Small pups usually pee like this, they start lifting their legs to pee as they get a a little bit older :)

Yup. My lab kind did a squat stretch with one leg back. God I miss him.
ComoSeIguana
My dog pees like that, and he's a 100lb 14 year old lab pit mix. He has hip problems.
RockKickass
My lab has always peed like that. I’ve never seen him lift his leg
FeChefImgur
My staffy with hip problems was the same. He probably would have fallen over if he tried to lift a leg to pee.

Buy him an umbrella

looks like socal, doubt people have umbrella. Cause I don't and I'm in socal lol

Invest in some rainwear and let wilbur get wet to do his business. In my experience, dogs like walking in the rain.

Looks like this guy has a very limited experience.

Ha, no. My dog will hold her pee all day if it's raining.
