If the underground conduit gets concrete in it, then new wire can't be pulled. The city would have to demo the sidewalk, dig up the conduit, replace the clogged section, and then pour a new sidewalk. A lot more work and much more expensive.

Is the laser I'm using even powerful enough to have an impact, or should I have gone with the $500 version?
Also the conspiracy theorist in me suspects that since lasers would cause indeterminate damage the powers that be may secretly promote them as a better "resistance" while knowing that most people aren't actually causing any damage because they're using a laser that's far too weak.
If you can't change public perception of your evil surveillance network, then convince the people wanting to rebel that the best way is by "__________" (something ineffective)
Cutting them down is cool, and I'd support it, but I think spray paint/tar on the lens is honestly the best option. If you do get caught, instead of destruction of property you would likely only receive a vandalism charge. Or you know, get shot, because ACAB
