This is a *Texas GOP ad*, not an ad for the new trending successes of the left. Weird to recruit for the other team so transparently.

If humanity wants to survive, capitalism MUST DIE.

The GOP is so out of touch that they write their attack ads like they're talking to their billionaire donors.

Don't Threaten me with a good time.

Fuck yes!!

Stop! Stop! I can only get so erect.

"Capitalism" in this context needs to be carefully and narrowly defined, otherwise this kind of messaging will change nothing, because people will only see it as an attack on their right to walk their dogs and to own boots, or something.

I know it's hard to talk to people whose assumptions are fucked up, but I really believe that the most important thing we can do is to break through to them with compassion and to show them where their own best interests really lie.

You are an idealist but not a fool. I think this is the end game of beating the technological filter bubble division built on purpose to keep us divided. Hell like six people own all mass media of course they are shaping a narrative and crafting culture wars to divide us so we don't find the class war that owns us. No Civil War, French revolution. Lol

But the only way we will reunite is through empathy and vulnerability and patience. Loved your comment

The thing is: I know that I want that personally, I just don't understand how they don't think most people want that also.

The Red Scare frightened Americans into conflating socialism with communist dictatorship by exploiting fears of violent revolution, foreign infiltration, and economic collapse following the 1917 Russian Bolshevik uprising. Propaganda portrayed all leftists, including labor unionists and democratic socialists, as "Leninist devils" loyal to the Soviet flag who intended to overthrow the U.S. government and destroy American liberty.

Weird thing is that it reads differently to owners, which in consequence the working class want to become, it's almost as if proper integration pathways are the key here

If their supporters could understand basic social structure and highschool level economics they'd be really upset that these things are being demonized.

yes

That sounds good. Let's try that.

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Lol do they even know who their audience is anymore??

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

....Do they understand what they wrote or were they hijacked or is this a call crying from help that they've been hijacked? What is this?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Do they even know what they are saying? Does Texas use a whole different dictionary all together?

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's like Mike Johnson reading out all the good things that the DSA wants to accomplish as if they were unpopular.

1 week ago | Likes 106 Dislikes 2

The best part was when he realized what he was saying, and kind of trailed off and changed the subject.

"And they..." *holds back vomit* "They want people to be alive and... I can't read this... are your kids out of the room? They want..." *holds back vomit harder* "billionaires not selling our entire future just to make a few cents extra. My god, this is sickening... I hear they think life has some kind of non-monetary value?"

YES!!

The GOP just accidentally delivered a better mission statement for the left than Democrats have been able to do.

In the same way the right had Project 2025 the left should be mapping out the DSA shift.

Nice of the republicans to simplify the message so much that it becomes appealing to idiots

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Don't threaten me with a good time, yeah it's what I fuckin want

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

They took it off their FB page but this is still there and is almost as funny https://www.facebook.com/share/p/1HdRMpYH3h/

It just goes to show you what absolute psychopaths Republicans are and how brainwashed the people who vote for them are.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's even more straightforward, there's nothing that could be scary about it to anyone, it's just like, "people should be paid for their work" lol.

I thought for sure the Comal County Republican Party fb account had to be a parody, but apparently it's real!

Yes

1 week ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Yes. Yes it is.

1 week ago | Likes 266 Dislikes 3

You sure?. Point me at a great socialist country. (Not social democracy like all of Europe)

1 week ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 29

Democratic socialists argue for democratic socialism which is what your “social democracies” are.

1 week ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What the DSA wants is closer to the social democracy like all of Europe and not the authoritarian socialism you’re probably thinking of.

1 week ago | Likes 30 Dislikes 2

Socialism is authoritarian by its very nature. So everyone stop saying that's what you want. You want social democracy, say that. Say , we want what Scandinavia has, we are as rich as Norway, it should be as pleasant here as it is there. I am European raised, living in US, I want social democracy just like where I am from

Capitalism is authoritarian by its very nature.

1 week ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That's why it's the Democratic Socialist party, not the Socialist party. That's why the name is different. They aren't advocating pure socialism and the name reflects the actual political ideology which is called democratic socialism. I'm not sure what you think you're arguing here.

1 week ago | Likes 21 Dislikes 1

They literally did say that. DSA stands for democratic socialists of America. It is what they’re saying. Did you respond to the wrong post?

1 week ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 1

The only way these people know how to argue is bad faith.

1 week ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

That’s what the person you responded to was saying. They want what the DSA wants to establish.

1 week ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 2

Exactly correct. Yes, I want us to be like Scandinavia or any other country that won’t treat residents like trading cards or annoyances.
