More ageism is fine on imgur. And FWIW, you're off by a decade or 2. Sigh.

There's a lot of overlap in those bands' fanbases.

Black metal

Yeah, not yet though. More like Elvis, Bill Haley and the Comets, Bobby Darin, et al.

Are you guys here to see the rock band? What do you mean, we are the rock band.

3 years ago | Likes 67 Dislikes 0

That's just most music forums for the last few years, really.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

That would be they younger residents. Older would be calling for Elvis, Everly Bros, Eddie Cochran, Chuck Berry, Bobby Rydell ...

This is gonna be weird in another 20 years... "SKRILLEX!" "Okay, Nana, you can have your nice sprites AND scary monsters."

3 years ago | Likes 58 Dislikes 2

Weird how they mix the clash with all this crap

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 8

And yes. Iam prepared to die on my hill of downvotes

Another 20-40 years and future nursing homes will be lan parties and anime on constant reruns.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

3 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

I seriously hope my nursing home has a D&D club,

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Was Deep Purple big in Europe or something? Just looked up their “top 10” and only knew Hush and Smoke on the Water. Not even same category

3 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 5

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

3 years ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 3

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

I'm 46 and I am counting on good VR team gaming in the old folks home. VR DnD would work.

3 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 2

Just plug me up to a morphine drip and let me relive my 20s in VR.

I saw Hendrix and Johnny Winters jam together on stage on my birthday!! 71 year old man!

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I wish. Outside of 50’s music and hymns, my dad’s home plays BeeGees and it’s disturbing.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

I’m a DEVOtee. “ DEVO, the thinking man’s KISS.”

My Rammstein CDs will accompany in ~2 decades on my way to the retirement home.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Hope CD players survive that long for you. As with how things already are for them another 20 years they might really be hard to get hold of

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Direct drive CD players will be ok, the ones with belts will need repairing.

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

You're assuming they will still be supported with drivers for what every OS is the normal in 20 years. Can't use it without driver support.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

? I’ve never seen a Discman or boombox that needed driver or an OS

3 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Oh, you meant a standalone unit. Gottch. I was talking about a PC controlled one. Though both are becoming less common.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nirvana and Soundgarden are classified as classic rock now in some circles. Kinda hurt when I heard that.

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I heard The Wallflowers on an Oldies station. Not even classic rock. The OLDIES. One Headlight came out in 1996.

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yeah! That was only like 10 years ago right? Oh, wait. No that was 27 years ago. Crap lol time really does fly when listening to great music

3 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I work in senior homes. I never see them talking about these bands.

3 years ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

You're not there 24/7.

3 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 8

Hahaha nope but I've been doing it 14 years

3 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

That's because the vary oldest boomers are only about 78. The vast majority of boomers are too young for senior homes.

3 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 2

My place for the first 6 years started at 55 and up. Lots of my seniors as its independent living are pretty young.
