#12 is the 90's talking. We weren't suppose to pre qualify anyone for anything. Boys could cry and girls could be tough. And we couldn't say retard anymore a standard i liked.

#8 To be clear, the 5 year mission was its primary mission around the Gas Giants, the designers always planned for it to continue to send back data as it continued further out into the solar system and hoped for exactly this outcome on the long term mission goals.

In 1977 they didn't know what they would find, or how much power the cells would continue to put out that far out, but this was always a part of the mission spec, no one is "shocked" it has continued, they are more pleased

#3 I think asking Ivy to pull the buds off of living plants and dry them will be a sure fire way to get a vine down your throat.

Thinking about that JL episode where alternate universe Ivy surprises Flash by not being bothered about trimming a rose bush, and the only reason she's cool with it is because Justice Lord Superman lobotomized her. It's amusing how much public opinion about Ivy has softened in recent years.

#13 I mean, if you don't like them, why did you get married? For that matter, why do you stay married? Don't even try to pull a "for the kids" card, my parents divorced when I was seven, and it was clear that being happier apart was a far better choice for both them and us than sticking together and being miserable.

I mean, I've been with my fiancée for years and I love her to death. My world would be worse in every measurable way if she weren't with me. But at the same time, there are days where she's on my last nerve. And I'm sure she feels the same about me. Sometimes a relationship is work.

I don't think the boomer humour "ol' ball and chain" portrayal is particularly healthy, but I don't think overcorrecting to "my relationship comes with zero conflict" is healthy either.

Wrote it better than I could've.

Ayup. It's definitely the boomer humor "I hate my wife" behavior that I was critiquing. And of course any relationship will come with conflicts - the key is in how you resolve them. I just figured that in the original image that specifically says "trash talking", I don't think that's the sign of a healthy relationship that recognizes and addresses their problems. It's like knowing the difference between criticism and *constructive* criticism, and I figured it was closer to the former.

I suppose I was taking it from a less generous interpretation where the first person is complaining about his SO because sometimes you just gotta vent and the second person is framing this as "trash talk".

They serve crinkle cut in Singapore and some other Asian markets. The account this comes from seems to be some kids from Australia(?) on vacation overseas. I would source it but I don't want to post a TikTok link.
