But tRump talking trash about his judges and prosecutors in his current criminal proceedings is an infringement of his 1st amendment rights... gotcha...

"no no no, not for us."

2 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 1

"Us" is a pronoun. Sorry, cant use it.

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

What an A—hole. But I must know…How did he make the leap from Rafeal to Ted???

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Small government (tm) in action.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It's okay. The bill won't apply to him. He's a chosen Republican and above such laws. (if only this were satire.)

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I’m loving your land of Freedom

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

In his defense, Ted knew his target base wouldn't vote for someone with his name, he knows because he wouldn't either

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

When he's around people he's tired of hearing "lookie here it's THAT Dick"

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 2

BTW, this exemplifies why GOP have no shame about hypocrisy... because its not, and they aren't (in their eyes). They are fascists, and under fascism these laws are to protect the in-group FROM the others, not the other way 'round. He's not being hypocritical, because they literally believe there are 2 sets of standards; trans people have to follow the standard he dictates, but that's for those people, not for him. Its unamerican to judge him by the standard of lessers.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Exactly. Not following the rules they expect everyone else to follow is a feature. It shows they're better than you.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Not the onion

2 years ago | Likes 385 Dislikes 1

Is it bad that I saw a responsible headline and thought that it had to be the onion?

2 years ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

It's not, but I knew it wasn't the onion because Ted Cruz is exactly that kind of piece of shit - even his Republican colleagues hate him

If we all pooled our money together and brought a trebuchet just to see how far we could fling Ted.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My shoes are boggin…think if I started slabbering about his wife, he’d bend down and lick them clean? Or is that only for Trump?

In 2018, turnout was only 53%. Cruz won by just 215k votes. Texas has another chance to vote him out next year but everyone needs to get out and vote. The man is a fascist and a traitor. https://en.m.wikipedia.org/wiki/2018_United_States_Senate_election_in_Texas

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

So what you're saying is vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote vote VOTE!

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I'm sure this will be a great improvement of things for the people.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

That man ate my son

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 2

So Rafael Edward Cruz likes rimming?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

GOP: "We're the party of small government!" Also GOP: "We will literally tell you what you can call yourself by name."

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

So he should forthwith be referred to by all members of the legislature as Rafael Edward Cruz.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Oh, and he obviously was aware of what might be done about his name in light of his bill, because on Sept. 26 of this year, RafaelEdwardCruz.com was created. He's not really that smart, because .org .net .info and I'm sure more are NOT created...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Well alright then. I’ll no longer call him Ted. He’s Rafael now.

2 years ago | Likes 23 Dislikes 0

Exactly! He is not requiring you to refer to him as Ted. The bill fights the requirement of federal employees to use preferred speech. And bars government funds from being used to setup and enforce such a program. Isn't it nice you aren't required to call him Ted?

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 5

Indifferent really. This is just culture war bullshit. Meant to distract everyone from the war against the middle class.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

The worst of the 4 ninja turtles.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Anything to distract you from the fact they've done nothing for their constituents.

Purple state my ass.

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It seems this is exactly what his constituents want. They don’t care how corrupt their party is as long as they keep hate alive

2 years ago | Likes 36 Dislikes 1

Yep. It's a grievance death cult.

2 years ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

Not entirely true, I could swear they fixed the elections. HEY-OOOO!

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

They're working on it...

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

It doesn't surprise me that politicians keep lying. What surprises, and greatly saddens me, is that voters keep falling for it over and over again.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Some are but if you look at the popular desires of the people it's much more progressive than conservative but votes are being rigged to maintain that power which is why some loose their faith that voting even matters if they are cheating their way out of recognizing the changes people are actually supporting. That and conservatives being so aggressive and loud to appear to have much more support than they actually do. I'm not saying voting is pointless, but there are real reasons some doubt it.

Abbott will be running marathons before the GOP actually does something that benefits their constituents.

I do not like that man Ted Cruz. I do not like his far right views. I wish that he would lose his job. That man is an f-ing nob

2 years ago | Likes 269 Dislikes 4

You mean Rafael Cruz..

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

You mean Rafael right? Ted's not his real name, can't allow people to use fake names while at the same time not let people use their chosen pronouns!

2 years ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

Knob

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Rafael Edward Cruz*

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

*knob, but the sentiment is rock solid.

2 years ago | Likes 24 Dislikes 2

Fuck you Ted, from everybody

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Nice Dr. Seuss rhyming!

2 years ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Just looked it up and I didn't realize he had so many, I had previously only seen the first two

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

John Oliver has about 10 different verses. It's fabulous

2 years ago | Likes 12 Dislikes 0

Isn't that.........government censorship?

2 years ago | Likes 95 Dislikes 1

At least you can post this on Xitter, they said again today that their whole purpose is to be a platform without censorship...

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Yes

2 years ago | Likes 41 Dislikes 0

Right? In what context? Are we talking official government documents? I thought you already had to use your full legal name.

2 years ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

There’s only one amendment - well, half of one amendment - they care about, and it isn’t that one.

2 years ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

Big Government censorship. Aren't the GQP opposed to this? Oh wait, they are massive hypocrites.

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ted Cruz, Mich McConnell, Nikki Haley, Rick Perry, Mitt Romney, Bobby Jindal, Gerald Ford, Jeb Bush, Scooter Libby. All of them go by a name different from their birth names.

2 years ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Ted (Edward) Kennedy, Beto (Robert Francis) O’Rourke - there are more. Lots of people go by middle names, nickname variations of their legal birth names. It isn't unique to the GOP, but yes, trying to ban it is hypocritical if so many of them do it.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nikki Haley? You mean Nimarata Randhawa?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

And of course, at least for Ted and Nikki, you know it was intentional because their actual first names aren't "white" enough for their political party.

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

Piyush "Bobby" Jindal as well.

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

So does this mean we can't even have nicknames Rafea.... I mean Ted

2 years ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 1

Luckily, I'm in Australia, a land where nicknames are so ubiquitous that I have friends who I've known for years without knowing their actual given names. My mother didn't learn her own first name until she was 13 years old

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

so why the downvote? We use nicknames all the time in my town, just seemed like Ted was targeting even such simple things

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 1

Wasn't me. Who knows?

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

wasn't blaming you, just confused on the reasoning why. you are still cool in my mind

2 years ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

Aww, thanks. You're pretty cool, yourself. Here's a picture of my cool self, being cool 😎

2 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Imgur has trolls and bots that automatically downvote stuff. It's not a bug it's a feature.

2 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

does this have anything with the ownership of imgur? not trying to be a jerk just curious

2 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Nah, it's been like that since the @sarah days. For the trolls it's just because they have no life. For the bots, no idea how that benefits the creators.
