Skydiver suffered a seizure.

#29 is always the goat. Looking right at it and still leaning forward first. To try to help, no guarantees there

There's a 'NOT TODAY!' mindset.

This is a very experienced operator to be able to quickly know how to orient the arm at the best angle to catch themselves. Or just extremely lucky. But either way good on them. Shitting substrate and area to be working.

3 weeks ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 0

It makes me sad, because we can probably assume just as many times there are people not so lucky.

3 weeks ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 0

If it wasnt for our prisons already being overcrowded, man do i wish there was far harder punishments for people running red lights or otherwise driving dangerously in traffic, here it is just a slap on the wrist, revoked license and then they take the same driver a week later and give him another slightly harder slap on the wrist for driving whitout a license.

I'm Joe Lombardo.

"Speed Kills" was such an accurate slogan. Unfortunately, when you purposely build a world around everyone owning a car and make sure there's no decent public transport, licencing basically everyone becomes the de facto standard.

#19 either the driver was also on their phone not paying attention or they purposely veered to clip the walker. Looks a little malicious to me

#29 Ninja-dad fucking wins at life.

3 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 0

I couldn't follow what happened to the woman in pink.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

He grabbed her too.

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

They were both rescued by ninja dad (he grabbed them both).

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Some of these are people being stupid. A lot of it is because a lack of government regulation, which is what Republicans desperately want to do here. Is that the kind of country folks want to live in?

3 weeks ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

The animated Chinese safety videos always come to mind when people want to claw back on workplace safety regulations. Or watching the Indian videos with the safety flip flops

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

#6 like playing jenga, lolol “carefuuul caaaarreeefuulllll” *crash* that dejected “head hang” too, pure comedy

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

I called my wife, who was sitting right next to me. Does that count as a close call?

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Close, but not too close for comfort.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

#7 Drunk af?

3 weeks ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

Or high, yeah. Waaaaay too zen for what just happened.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, that was my thought.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

#20 made me flinch. That camera man almost got a blood shower

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#7 This killed me. At least he was gracious about the first near-accident but man, take a hint and walk home

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

#24 "Hmm, there's a lot of loose, broken rocks here, wonder where they came from... but I'm sure it will be safe. Let's camp."

Exhibit A of why you shouldn't camp on a scree/talus.

3 weeks ago | Likes 107 Dislikes 5

That dude almost got A Train'ed.

3 weeks ago | Likes 16 Dislikes 0

Or someone out of the camara had just kick the rock...

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 12

It Is Not Roling. It Is flying.... So Poss. Someone of camara did something To It to make it Fly....
No dust. No small pepples. Just flying. So. Wind or Person... don't matter...

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Someone kicked a rock the size of a grand piano?

3 weeks ago | Likes 6 Dislikes 0

Yeah! Someone kicked a rock that weighs probably 5-8 tons, at that speed, at the camp!

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Everest.

3 weeks ago | Likes 20 Dislikes 0

In two words?

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Ever-rest.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

If it's not on the rocks, it's on frozen bones.

Or poop

3 weeks ago | Likes 8 Dislikes 0

#1 Fucking moron, still coasting alongside the truck. Some people truly continue to live by luck.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

#14 Lightning strike or too close to power lines? Not sure if that was a close call or just a call.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

#4 is it real? Lacking a few pixels, but the bike just disappears without him even budging?

3 weeks ago | Likes 11 Dislikes 1

Yes. The vehicle took off with the bike.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Pretty sure I've seen this a few times, pre-AI. He's stood up on his feet when the car grabs the bike and just yanks it out from under him.

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Looks real enough, even though it's unbelievable.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I'm with you, Real, but edited or missing some frames I'd guess. there's no way you don't even stumble a little if that happens.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

It is possible. The bike hit the corner of the bumper and seemed to catch. The motion would pull the bike forward at an angle that could just pull it out from under him. The rider had his weight on his feet so he didn't fall and it was too fast for him to react. I think it's an older video. That's what makes me think it's real.

3 weeks ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 4

#13 That's hydraulic oil being sprayed out, probably from a fractured hose. The spray mist hit the exhaust, and then boom...

3 weeks ago | Likes 22 Dislikes 0

The whole thing looks remarkably inefficient!!

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Didn't realize how flammable it is,

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

You have no idea. This video is from an aluminium extrusion line. Just watch how fast the fire spreads fueled by the hydraulic oil

3 weeks ago | Likes 9 Dislikes 0

Exactly. I've seen that one a couple of times. For me it looks like the hose popped completely off the top of the hydraulic cylinder. I'm wondering why the drop ceiling was so flammable. Here in Norway it's made of rock wool or something like that

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Same here in Germany. Factories using hot metal and flammable liquids like hydraulic oil have very specific security regulations to follow. Fires are not impossible here but the outcome would be very different

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

holy shit, hopefully that guy that went back for something got clear, that got incredibly bad, very very fast

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

about twenty seconds to get to a full fire.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#27 This seems intentional, and not because of bad luck or just completely stupidity.

3 weeks ago | Likes 93 Dislikes 2

It isn't. A qualified logging company would have chopped that tree down in sections. That's blind luck.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Absolutely intentional. Amazing planning and execution.

3 weeks ago | Likes 61 Dislikes 2

Honestly seems like they fucked up a little, they had WAY more room on the left then the right when it actually fell, and if you're gonna lean towards something you lean towards the fence, not the building. Neither is a cheap repair, but they're not even in the same ballpark. let alone for liability reasons.

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

It's easy to mistake ignorance for malevolence. It's more often the former but not always.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Very precise tree felling, but one could argue there are safer spots to stand than 1 inch to the side of the landing spot 😀

3 weeks ago | Likes 13 Dislikes 0

That's why he was standing 2 inches to the side. Double the safety!

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

*Buster Keaton noises of disapproval*

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Well yeah... but it is still a close call. I would have erred on the side of destroying the fence personally.

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

If they went through the effort of chopping all the limbs off, why not cut it down from the top down? Why fall it in such a narrow safe area to begin with?

3 weeks ago | Likes 17 Dislikes 0

Love of the risk.
Or love of money, you choose.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

He's an expert who's done this dozens of times before.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I imagine they cut the limbs off to fell it in such a narrow safe area. Idk the metrics of cutting top down but I'd guess it's more effecient to fell it like that.

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Not that much more effort to section it then do this if you're alreayd getting up there to get all the limbs off. Maybe half an hour? less for a professional team.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

No disagreement there lol I'm not an arborist but im sure theres a reason for doing either method. At least this guy seemed to know what he was doing.

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeah, they did a good job, I'd argue if they were going to lean to one side or another, I'd have cut closer to the fenceline then the house, as I'd rather take the hit on a fence repair then a gutter and roof if it went 3 inches in the wrong direction. But job got done and well in the end.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

#14 DA FUQ was that? Any context?

3 weeks ago | Likes 10 Dislikes 3

I don't understand the language but looks like it was a funny "here it's sunny, here's it's raining" bit, rudely interrupted by a lightning strike a few meters away.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 1

A close lightning strike is all the info I have.

3 weeks ago | Likes 5 Dislikes 0

Looks like lightning struck the fence post that was right next to them

3 weeks ago | Likes 31 Dislikes 0

Ye that fence post fucking exploded in his face.

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 1

Lightning strike. Pay close attention to the interference to the camera sensor before that. He should've felt that long before it struck.

3 weeks ago | Likes 18 Dislikes 0

unless thats the rain, but not convinced. There's a massive electric field buildup before the lightning (hair stands up)...

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 1

You can but its only for a few seconds and you barely have time to recognize it. You gotta get struck a couple times first.

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I didn't notice that at first, good call. I guess it's the white specks appearing on the video

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

#1 It happen to me and i wasn't that lucky

3 weeks ago | Likes 44 Dislikes 1

so, the video isn't showing it all? What happened?

3 weeks ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

My Arm got stuck between the Door and the Road when the truck turned over, the Hospital took 2 days to remove all the Glass shards stuck in my Elbow and Forearm.

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Man, what a unpleasant ride. Thanks for telling the story behind it all.

3 weeks ago | Likes 7 Dislikes 0

Ya, a semi ran my mum and step dad off the road in a hit and run in the early 2000s. Nearly killed both of them. I hope that driver rots in hell.

3 weeks ago | Likes 4 Dislikes 0

I would say that you were lucky to just have that

3 weeks ago | Likes 19 Dislikes 0

In the car or in the truck?

3 weeks ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

In the Truck

3 weeks ago | Likes 15 Dislikes 0

You're still here, and you have some scars. That's not ideal, that still sucks ass, but considering what could have happened?

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

I'm glad you're still with us.

3 weeks ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

The Nerves inside my Arm got damaged under my elbow , and i had to take a year and a half in rehab to make in functional again *God Bless Canada* but now i'm stuck with Painkillers ...

3 weeks ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

Yeesh, that sucks to hear. I know its trite and probably sounds repetitive, but I genuinely am glad you stayed intact overall, I'm glad it wasn't way worse. Hopefully the pain fades further over time. I'm glad you can access the care needed to get better!
