Hamas offered to release the hostages almost immediately, i thought this was pretty common knowledge by now? They offered many times to return all hostages in return for a lasting ceasefire, all rejected by Israel. Israel counters with a horrid deal, Hamas will reject it. The Western press then reports that Hamas isnt coming to the table. Just like they reported that Hamas didnt want to extend the stage one ceasefire, when they wanted to move to stage two like Israel agreed to then backed out of

Just curious, but is there a statistic of how many Hamas hostages were killed by Hamas vs how many were killed by Israel? I bet Israel killed way more.

There was that group that escaped. Were running down a street in their underwear waving white cloth and they got gunned down by IDF troops

Would love to see that stat. Given no aid is entering the strip and has been limited this entire time, not to mention Israel absolutely levelling the place, i imagine they have absolutely killed more of their own than Hamas did. Just like they killed their own on October 7th. Anything to escalate and give cover to seizing more land and ethnic cleansing.

Pretty safe assumption given all the indiscriminate airstrikes and IDF even shooting escaped hostages. The exact number will likely never be known. Of note, Hamas has no incentive to kill the hostages. One of the hostages who was released, Mia Schem, recently said she felt safer in the tunnels with Hamas than in Israel after she was raped by a famous Israeli influencer.

There are an endless amount of real images of Palestinians suffering and Israel committing atrocities to prisoners of war. The image of the Palestinian teacher is taken out of context, he went to Israel for cancer treatment.

Just trying to make your work stronger.

This comment should not be downvoted. It was sincere and speaks to the extent of Hasbara propaganda. No hate here.

Thanks, I did some reading, I will leave my comment there for other people to realize the strength of Hasbara. He looked so photoshopped and my first search results were all endless social media posts about cancer (probably bots).

You're a good person for this. It's so refreshing to see a person actually learn something new and not fall back on defensiveness of their prior beliefs.

The others said it better but it really is nice to see people able to admit when they're wrong. We will all be wrong at some point, (I've been tricked by propaganda too) - we must stay vigilant, always

You'll find the right does this to seed online spaces with misifo. Always quick to assert something, hoping it gets picked up.

While I wish it was the norm, it it is refreshingly awesome to see someone accept a correction with humility & willingness to be a teachable moment for others. Most people are cowards & would delete the first comment. Or worse, go on the attack in defense of their ego. Imgur needs more people like you. Also props to OP for calling you out. If enough people are on the side of truth, truth wins. When truth wins, we all win.

Didn’t intend to ‘call him out’ - just a gentle nudge towards a more careful analysis. Nothing but love here ❤️
