None of the rooms on the second floor have any furniture that can’t be carried up in one hand or assembled when it gets up there. All mattresses are inflatable. Remember to change into your all-steel house boots when entering.

#20 a charity could partner with a radio station to do the same with "last Christmas". It would cost 1 buck to keep the first day of December without the song, two for the second, 4 for the third, 8 for the fourth.... Of course people could also pay for the song, subtracting the amount from the "oh god please not" amount if they felt evil...

I think guy 3 might be Vincent Price

My first thought is always A Christmas Carol. Guy 3 was Charles Dickens.

#46 I've had some arguments with some British friends of mine lately about words :D One was upset about me saying "addicting" and he refused to accept it as a word even though I found him three dictionaries that had it listed.

#46 Wiktionary has quotations for "refrigerate" going back to 1621, and the etymology goes back to Latin. I think you could say "refrigerator" to Cicero and he'd figure out what it was, as long as you pronounced it with a hard G.

But fuck prescriptivists.

Also language rules in a given slice of time are still needed. "Oh hey, language is fluid and ever-changing" is nice and all, but let's try to communicate in a standardized way. Also I'd argue dictionary _is_ a rule book. It's supposed to change in time, but to pretend it's pointless and we should use whatever words is also silly.
