The NRA does not and has not for years permitted loaded firearms inside the convention, except for on-shift law enforcement and hired security. Usually it's because the large venues the convention requires do not typically allow firearms on premises no matter who's paying for the space.

From what I read they weren't allowed at this one either. For me it doesn't matter I wasn't there, and I don't have a gun fetish, so it's kind of w/e. I just really would like kids to live long enough to formulate opinions on the matter, and not have to see parents in anguish as almost no attempts are made. I have a niece going to school soon, and a nephew a few years away from it. I just wanna be able to be their fun uncle, and not at at their funerals one day
