I would never recommend anyone go to Egypt. There's cool stuff there, it's too bad so much of that place exists only to try and exploit and extort tourists. Terrible experience wise, only next to India.

I've never seen foul like that. In Saudi Arabia, foul is usually just a bowl of beans with some oil and a few spices poured over it. And a bowl of it is considered a complete breakfast. What's happening here is more like mukbang.

Can confirm, this is pretty damn close to an Egyptian breakfast but feels more modern. The exchange rate is pretty good for USD to EGP. You can eat like a king for a week with what you pay for 1 takeout order these days

Based on Hollywood movies in the 80s/90s it's pancakes, bacon, lots of fruit, muffins, mugs of coffee, orange juice and maybe eggs. This is all presented on a giant polished wood table on the first floor of an upper-middle white family's suburbia home with a modest green manicured lawn. Also nobody eats anything; they run down the stairs out the door. Something like the Beethoven movie comes to mind (not that I even remember it, but I'd guess it does)
( i live in the us) There is a great deal of variety, but usually consists of eggs, starch or grain, and a protein i personally like bagels and bagels made into sandwiches using eggs and protein ( usually pork sausage in my case, but bacon and other proteins are also very popular. Cereal is common as well as oatmeal, protein shakes and other common grains. Some people eat more starch in the mornings. Waffles are kind of a treat for me but im sure some people eat them regularly.
