But… the darker the skin, the more protection from UV radiation (like, 15 minutes before sun burn occurs, as opposed to 8 minutes for us white people)! I’m white as a snowflake, but I make sure black children know that their skin can and will get sun burnt just as badly as a white kid’s skin, it’s just that the burn isn’t as visually noticeable, so they still need to wear sun protection. The sun is not your friend in large amounts.
