I've known most of my friends over a decade. since i left social media I made sure to put all of their birthdays in my phone calendar, and always make text them on their birthdays. sort of bummed it's not reciprocated ?

Hey. Happy Birthday. Truly. It's your day. We're here for ya!

I usually wish others a happy but never get it back in return

That's normal when you're a grown up

I removed my birthdate visibility from FB. Not a single post on my birthday. Gratifying.

Oh hey. A post about me. Except I still have FB but only still immediate family and some family friends wishes me happy bday. I feel ya.

The happiest of birthdays!! ? may your future be filled with proper friends & wisdom as wise as your decision to seek a brighter future!

If you want your BD to be remembered, make it memorable. Throw a party. Invite people. Have cake. Otherwise - meh. Welcome to adult.

I stopped long ago caring about birthdays. They are just a silly reason to increase ur selfwprth and to party. Why all 365.25 days?

Make it 10k days!! Which ist 27,4 years. And yep…. Many of us font reach 30k days of age :/

“I deleted myself from the all the birthday reminding systems my friends use. Why did they forget my birthday?”

Yep, same. A few remembered and I miss them. So so much

As someone outside of your immediate family, Happy Birthday!! ?

4 years ago | Likes 2 Dislikes 0

I genuinely mean this. Who gives a fuck? Happy birthday, mate!

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Once you realize it's an arbitrary day it loses value... But you should still wish others happy birthday in case they have not realized that

Shocking news, you birthday by in large doesnt matter to anyone outside of your family. The well wishes from FB were out of convenience.

As I am growing older, I don't feel excited about birthdays anymore. Family and close friend are the ones to remember and I am all glad..

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

None of us know know when it is anymore if you are off FB is the problem

I forget my own bday

Happy birthday @OP! It’s hard to remember everyone’s birthday, ESPECIALLY when you don’t have something reminding you like Facebook.

One year my partner and I were surprised to be informed it was our anniversary while out with family. We'd both forgot it.

friendships are (rewarding) work. social networks are mostly pretending to care without all that pesky work.

I mean, you can have genuine friendships there too but yeah it is way less effort to maintain. I suck with remembering birthdays and >

without a notification I only remember my dads, mine and the gfs.

i did say mostly. make an offline calender, put in all important birthdays and get into a habbit of checking it once in the morning...

If you want people to remember your birthday, you need to remind them. Or give them a calender for Christmas with your birthday marked ?

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

My b-day is an international holiday. Even immediate family forgets. It is what it is. The people that matter the most, remember.

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Make sure your wishing them happy birthday, put them in the calendar with reminders and group text spam them with funny birthday gifs

4 years ago | Likes 1 Dislikes 0

Seriously, before Facebook I remembered like 5-6 people's birthdays.

4 years ago | Likes 45 Dislikes 0

Bruh I can barely remember my own birthday or even Christmas without digital reminders.

4 years ago | Likes 3 Dislikes 0

I've never had Facebook. I remember like 5-6 birthdays.
