The first two were each their own storm of uniqueness and unlikelihoods. 1 more so than 2, but 2 would never have happened without 1.
Seriously, WW1 happened because of tangled mess of alliances, empires calling in everything they had, and people desperately attempting peace only to be foiled by accidents and mistrust.
You can feel free to worry about a regular war, but a world war is as likely to happen as every nation in the world adopting anarchism suddenly.
