And it's really hard to convey how much of a tragic loss that money is to them. A huge part of their identity is tied up in how much money they make and their mentality over any loss of monetary value cannot be overstated. It's messed up but ironically really rich people treat monetary loss as a way bigger deal than someone just barely surviving.

In the EU, vehicles used to be stopped and searched before being allowed on transportation hub parking lots. Airports train stations etc. They did this because one bomb , one car on fire would shut down that airport, train station. Which in turn would effect most transportation across numerous countries. I just thought that was interesting.

A nation wide strike is the only safe demonstration against the evil corrupted regime that we have now. By simply refusing to work and staying at home one cannot be shot or beaten. The economy takes a huge hit and we all know that it’s all about the economy. Once the economy is in a free fall changes happen.

Just to understand your thought process a little better, how many days would you want everyone to refuse to work and stay home? I’m assuming that by staying home, you’re essentially saying to stay out of the stores, restaurants etc also, yes? Can I assume that local restaurants/bars owned by local folks would still be alright to go to?

The parameters of a general strike can vary, but the point is that it brings industry and productivity grinding to a halt. The more comprehensive, the better. That said, patronizing local mom and pop shops does not necessarily move the needle one way or the other.

This is false. The productivity of workers is literally all that props up the economy and the billionaires that control it. The damage done to individuals is distributed, but the damage done to the capital class is highly concentrated.

You dramatically underestimate the financial damage that can be done to billionaires if people withhold labor for even as little as a week. The system is not as robust and failproof as you think. They have you fooled.

That's not even considering the people who would get *fired* because they don't work for a week and have absolutely no ability to take that much time off. What are they going to do then?
I love the idea of a general strike. I could probably afford to participate for a week or two. But a LOT of people cannot.

It's also important to note that a bit ironically the billionaire class treat monetary loss as a much bigger deal than someone just barely getting by. Any amount of financial loss to them is tragic because it's such a huge part of their identity. It's hard to convey how ficked up their mentality is because most of them have no context for what it's like to not have enough money. I speak from having direct interactions with several very rich investment corp CEO's. A general strike hits them hard.
